@LazyJones1 It's a par three but hes not really on tee they are funplaying so they try going over by bouncing the water so i would say its a real hole in one but it isnt a real competition maybe a funraiser.
@TheMultiChicken That is the 16th hole at The Masters in Augusta. No doubt during the "Par 3" tournament (just for fun) held on Wednesday, the day before the real Tournament starts
@LazyJones1 it wasnt on a tee, every year at the masters they hold a par 3 contest and at this particular hole they have a tradition to try and skip it across the water. That was Vijay attempting it and he happen to hit it in.
At the end I see a ball already there, but in the beginning of the video there is non...why?

Great shot! - But was that really a hole-in-one? Doesn't look like he was on a tee.

@LazyJones1 its called par 3 he used an iron so you dont need a tee

@wyattlearing33
Actually, you do.
Not the little wooden thing, but the marked area in which the first shot of the course is taken.
I don't see any such markings.

@LazyJones1
It's the "Par 3 Tournament" at the Master's. It's before the actual tournament and the players just have some fun.

@mdavisgolfnut Sorry, but that`s player`s messing about on the 16th, during a practice round. Forgive me, i`m not usually this pedantic.

Same here! Was that crazy forward spin to keep it skipping on the water?
Insane shot.
nishbrown 2 years ago 2
ya i assume so, top spin, amazing
wickedinsight 2 years ago
@nishbrown It's not spin, it's speed. The ball surface cannot really grip water so spin is of little or no relevance.
