  • That wrx needed to have been flat foot shifting or upgrade to ppg gears ..that many mods should have taken a stock 5.0..

    Why...so the WRX can blow its transmission all over the road?? Thats a joke, the 5 speed in the WRX is as weak as they come.

  • @Wildman113 Yeah you are thinking of the 02-03 tranny's which is very week. The 04 and up were much better, not as bullet proof as the STi or PPG tranny's but they are pretty damn good.

  • I like american manufacturers because you can have a fast car legally.The only fast import is the nissan gtr. other than that all the others have to be highly modded to come close to a car of the same price. I'm talking about brand new cars not used.. Any old car can be modded to be fast but not much comes out of the factory fast. Having a modded car and beating a stock car is pointless.

  • Does the stang actually dyno at those numbers cause the factory claims 412hp

  • @seanguer dyno nombers are at the wheels, factory numbers are at the crank. There is a 15-20% loss at the wheels vs. crank hp. Typically awd lose more (20%) while FWD and RWD lose less (15-17%)

  • Whats funny is the 5.0 was messing with him letting him beleive he could hang then he kicked in and left it in the dust. I've had so many rice cans do this my favorite is when modded civic rolls up modded revving his engine. I put in neutral look at the driver smile FLOOR IT and he jumps. LOL

  • @declaratedvet I don't think one person here who know's how powerful a stock 5.0 is to see an STI get beaten. A modded 5.0 would just blow past so hard the STI would fly off the road from the wind shear.

    The Mustang now has Intake, full exhaust and tune and has a best so far of 12.0 @ 117.5mph.... The wrx hasn't ran at the track but it would be good for 11.8-12.2 range with how it sits in the video. If they ran from a dig there is no question the wrx would of taken down the mustang in stock form. As the Mustang sits today with it bolt ons and tune (425whp) it would be one hell of a race from a dig and a ass beating from a roll for the wrx.

    There are plenty of AWD Mustang dynos out there. This was tuned @ EFI in Bethel, CT.

  • nice run. AWD helped the WRX a lot. but the 5.0L superior torque and HP was to much for WRX to handle. The stang also has more top-end from its 7000rpm range.
