  • Is that the full turbo back?

  • i like the way it looks and sounds

  • This is what i want for my EVO, what is this exhaust called, Honest answer will be much appreciated

  • @max22g bullshit you have an evo (i'd be surprised if you're even old enough to drive), and it's in the title. dumbass...

  • @AzNtacoSAUCE Listen here u dumb fuck.. i am here in australia where we don't have too much off variety when it comes to these sort of products.. One more thing i don't have to prove you that i drive an evo X MR.. and recently got my ETS Cat back exhaust, directly from ETS US, HKS GT Extension Kit, and HKS Racing suction kit and HKS IPC.. and i am old enought to be an Executive manager in Banking industry and to Fuk ur mum upside down.. u little bithc., Now get the fuk out of my face

  • @max22g your poor spelling/grammar, use of "your mother" insults, and failure to read the title of this video suggests you are at the very most 16. and why is it that every kid has to list EVERY modification done to his souped up evo? i am very disappointed in your intelligence, as i am australian as well.

  • @AzNtacoSAUCE Look who is talking about spelliing/grammer a white Aussie.. where they say >>>>>>>>>>> beeaaa to beer, heeaaa to hear,,

  • @max22g is that english, or typonese? speaking and typing are two completely different modes of communication. and if you want to try to insult me, at least do it in a way in which i can understand. fail troll is fail.

  • @max22g Tanabe Concept G Blue I'm guessing. Turbo Back.

  • Sounds nice, but Tanabe always does

  • is this the medalion concept g?

  • Please please get a vid of the car under load. Im thinking about this exhaust. It sounds pretty good but it's just different on the road. the drive by wire makes them revv funny.

  • What's the set up for this exhaust?

  • stock cat and dp?

  • Comment removed

  • technically, it's NOT an automatic. it has 2 clutches and not a torque converter.

  • ok well manual refers to a transmission that requires you to operate the clutch. I don't understand the point of saying the SST is a manual transmission when we all know it has 2 pedals. tisk tisk

  • an automatic transmission utilizes a torque converter. a manual uses a clutch. just because the ECU does the shifting for you doesn't make it an automatic transmission. the clutch is still being engaged and disengaged. in the SST's case via hydraulic. TSK TSK

  • @pescadero I konw I'm just saying, technicaly it's a manual like you said, but you don't manually do the shifting, you CAN by hitting those paddles or moving the lever, but it's not required. In a manual manual car with a clutch pedal, you HAVE to shift gears.

  • @pescadero What do you mean it's not an automatic? Rofl. Automatic vs. manual doesn't refer to torque convertor vs. clutch. It refers to if the driver has a physical connection to moving the actual gears. While the Evo may be equipped with dual clutches and no torque convertor, the transmission is very much still an automatic as the driver is still limited to an electronic connection to the transmission and shifting is done by the computer (paddles just giving it commands).

  • @timorbit - you can ROFL all you want, timon! but technically speaking, "automatic" trannies have torque converters, while "manual" trannies uses clutches. the TC-SST just happen to use the computer to engage and disengage the clutch(es). this is straight from my mitsu tech at the dealer.

  • @pescadero I'm well aware of what you just said. And I agree, automatics generally have torque convertors, manuals have clutches, and the Evo X has clutches, not a torque convertor. What I'm saying is a car being an automatic or manual isn't regarding the mechanical equipment that separates engine power from the transmission, but is regarding how the gears are actually shifting. In manual cars, gears shift through human power. This is not how the Evo X is, REGARDLESS of clutch/torque convertor.

  • @timorbit - well, you can argue your point until you're blue in the face. I HAVE an MR and enjoy driving it. I love my car and i just feel sorry for people who gives info or advice on things they do not have.

  • @pescadero Rofl... so you're just being defensive about having an automatic car instead of a manual one you want people to think. YouTube sure continues to be a magnet for morons. And no need to feel sorry for people whom you have no idea what they're driving :)

  • @timorbit - hahaha! why would i be defensive about my TC-SST? its a better car than the GSR. It's quicker (with launch control) 0-60 and 1/4 mi and faster around any track that it was paired against the GSR. I had the Evo IX and sold it to get the X because of new technology. maybe you should ask your mommy to increase your allowance so maybe one day, you will get to experience what i experience! so go ahead on roll on the floor like a lunatic laughing! hahaha!

  • @pescadero With the automatic tranny launching isn't anything like with manual ones. The further you go down the road the less reliable it is with the MR. Regardless, both models are amazing, just if i was to switch from my Evo 8 to X i would do the GSR. Reason being why well Evo 8,9 MRs have shit trannies, so i believe in 5 speeds when it comes to evos

  • @YuLost2X - auto shifters have come along way. and i did extensive research before going with the MR. in sport or s-sport mode, you just cant beat it! the ecu blips the throttle on downshifts and upshifts are lightning quick. quicker than any human can shift using stick. i test drove the GST also and found that 5th gear at freeway speeds was just too buzzy. also, i live in SF and i dont think i can tolerate bumper to bumper traffic with a stick on a regular basis.

  • @pescadero Don't get me wrong im not knocking down either model, i mean come its a evo heheh. I'm just saying ppl who are super aggressive with their cars 600who+ they usually would go with the GSR X. like i said i love both cars though

  • @YuLost2X - its all good, bro! we're all in the same club! although i dont think i'm gonna go too crazy on the mods, coz i have 2 lil brats to feed! lol - i just did the basic bolt on stuff i can do in my garage (SRI, UICP, rear sway bar, turbo back exhaust, and lowering springs). I'm thinking about getting the cobb access port. have you had any experience with it? i've been going through the forums and it seems like a good product.

  • @pescadero i heard good things, i haven't used it myself yet. Let me know how it goes. everybody says that they won't do anything crazy with their car, a little here and there and u have a full build lol

  • @pescadero something to add on to ur comment about test driving, im not saying u did or did not but its quite hard to find a mitsu dealer thatll let u test drive a brand new evo... i tried it when i bought mine. and in regards to ur "the mr is faster" well sure its faster cause its able to electronically shift in micro seconds but hey its ok cause i dont need a computer to drive for me :P

  • @specialdeathx - 90% of my driving is pretty uneventful. you know day to day commute. and the TCSST tranny is the shit in stop n go traffic! i took it track day with my buddy and spanked his GSR all over the place. hey, if Formula 1 uses sequential tranny, then its good enough for me.

  • @pescadero yeah i guess, it is a pain when ur stuck behind grandma in her mini van or tank or whatever but idk its not the same, for me theres a more mechanical feel n like idk its like i bond with my evo... dont judge me XD

  • @pescadero

Ya I have the TCSST in my Ralliart and I must say it is a sweet transmission, not as fun as my Evo X GSR but it is a sweet transmission. I dont trust the TCSST in the long run with a crazy high performance setup, but thats what the Evo is for.

  • @angryGTS - the MRs tranny is safe upwards of 400 lb/ft ot torque. i havent dyno'd my mods but i'm guessing around 320 - 340 wheel torque?

  • @pescadero

I know I guess I should have said for the longterm, SSP also has a good clutch pack setup but trying to find someone to install is a bit hard if you arent anywhere near their shop. Again I am not knocking the transmission at all I love it, I guess Im just too cautious for going crazy on a $10k transmission if I break it, because even if you do everything right shit does happen.

  • @angryGTS - LOL - yes, shit does happen!

  • @pescadero

Love the exhaust by the way, I was thinking of going for the turbo back version but the "bottle neck" on the back half of the exhaust turned me away a bit, I believe the diameter shrinks to 2.5 inches after the Y pipe.

  • @angryGTS - i went with the Invidia Q300 exhaust with Agency Power downpipe and RRE racing cat. its a full 3 inch all the way through. sounds great and pretty good power gains. i'm gonna put together a vid as soon as i can.

  • @angryGTS Not to rain on your parade, but if dual 2.5" exhaust is enough to support an 800HP VG engine than i', pretty sure it will be more than adequate for a 2.4L I4. Not trying to be a smart ass or anything just throwing out some facts.

  • Sounds great. Tanabe FTW.

  • LOL. Wife test is kinda hard to pass huh?
