@Bryanx89 you dont necessary need to bleed the breaks if you just gotta take the breaks apart. as long as people dont mess with the pistons, its ok. taking the calipers off is way easier

@lesslyv187 if any air gets in those calipers i hope your not behind me when your calipers are spongy. i do recommend pulling the calipers off, hanging them from a coat hanger off ur spring so u can get good coverage and not paint the pads or get paint on the boots and have them crack and seize your pins

If your going to put your car on jacks just take the damn calipers out hang'em from a wire, spray paint with heat resistant paint. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to take'm out and clean them nicely. What ever make you car is paint the letters in white using paint shop mold letters. Heck you can even use active clear afterwards and let it dry a day or so. You'll then notice you drive faster and away from every caliper wanting thief tail gating your ass to steal them.

You might as well put new brakes in if your taking the calipers off to so you could actually be doing two jobs at the same time and saving yourself work in the future i.e having to remove the calipers a later time instead of doing it when your painting your calipers anyways.

@blankpanic its also the correct way to do it you dont want paint on your pads or your rotots ideally cause it reduces the breaking performance but in fairness its not something a average person might be able to do especially bleeding the break lines after they remove them and all the other hassle that goes along with it

You painted the back of your pad too...Honestly you'd be better off throwing the whole caliper in a tub of acidic to clean it and eat away the seal, then painting the two pieces and throwing some new o-rings. Rebuilt calipers and painted. So you get some actual performance out of em.

Respond to this video... Looks Amazing!! But would recommend brake/caliper service after... the sticky paint could effect equal pad pressure. it would get into the sliders. Best bet would be to remove the caliper, and suspend it in the wheel well with a hanger from the shock. do all the same masking, and if you paint the hub mount. Remove the pad clips first, and then remove the Caliper Hub Mount from the car. Sand all the paint off where the Brake pad clips connect to the Mount.
