Did you know that Oklahoma was the reason Kevin wrote this song? Before this show, I talked with him and asked him how he wrote "Lower 48". He told me it started a long time ago when the Sooners beat LSU. He wasn't very happy about it, and he wrote "Oklahoma is a dirty red mean Native American slot machine". After that, he started writing verses for more and more states. By the way, I think he's forgiven Oklahoma, since they helped the Gourds get a big hit!
