You can also easilly tell if you have a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke.A 2 stroke mower WON"T have an oil filler spout,to put oil in :)

@rowenj 40 parts oil to one gal of gas. what ever the ratio is if they ask for 40 to one divid you one gal of gas which is 128 ounces by 40 and the answer will be , 3.2 ounces of oil to one gal of gas.

if you can get it running you can tell by the sound i higher pitch if its 2 stroke and lower for a 4 stroke
