this is bs, but looking at the original calendar you can tell that each of the points is a year, and each of the squares is a season and that the center stands for either earth or the sun.the face was probably made in the image of a ruler somewhere in that time period. and mostly everything else seems purely decorative. maybe if i could make a closer examination i could provide you with a better analysis.
