My phone is as it was new. I've done nothing to it AT ALL. I want to upgrade to GB, but, it seems like I'm a bit late to the party. Do I have to do anything before CWM 3.1.0.1? (Like adding this one before?) I've been online reading for 2 days, but, I'm finding it hard to string everything together. I'd be happy to contribute to your college fund, as you seem to have the most understandable instructions in your videos. I just want to do things in the correct order.

I highly recommend using a custom or modded ROM, because I highly recommend removing CIQ, which isn't exactly easy to do.

If carriers and device makers would use the Stock CIQ, I wouldn't have a problem with it a problem, but the level of added "features" have such severe potential for abuse. (If you want to understand further search for "CIQ." Just do it when in a sane and levelheaded mood unless you want to feel really paranoid.)

@wwjoshdo The latest one click is CWM 3.1.0.1. I've got a video on that. Recent roms made auto convert your filesystem by installing them so there is no need to convert yourself anymore.

Thanks for the help - I have an odd question. I recently followed instructions to do the one click root - I also have upgraded to Gingerbread (thank you by the way)

I am rooted - didn't realize I didn't have to be to install the Gingerbread - oh well - but here is my question - after you did your GIngerbread instlal - you did a system download from EF02 to EF 10 - I tried it -(remember, I am rooted) and it worked - after doing it, I have the same option you did, to go back to EF02. How?

@Geekser77 You can downgrade your modem to EF02 from EF10. Not sure why, but you can.

i finally decided to root my phone, everything was working fine - i got the superuser and went ahead to shut down the phone to see if i could get into clock work and now my phone is stuck on the "samsung" screen whether or not im turning it on normally. i've tried pulling the battery, etc but nothing. what went wrong or what should i do? thanks in advance for help!

AHHHH i can kill u and kiss u @ the same time lol, my phone bricked once i tried to cut it back on with the volume down and cam and power buttons down. but thank god u made that unbrick video. if any body happins to use the vid he has the ECO5 link on there and do not unzip it like my dumb ass did just use the file like that. thanks again ill try it again if u got any pointer on what i might have done wrong.
