  • No wonder people were disappointed when it came out. Don't get me wrong, it was a pretty good movie, but this trailer and many others extremely misrepresented this film. This trailer makes it look like some mindless action film, when the actual film itself is a character drama. What terrible marketing

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Yea all the retards looking for nothing but special effects and green mongoloids fighting were probably pretty disappointed.

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita i agree...i remeber when i was a kid they use to market this movie on nickelodean and had the toy hulk hands like this movie was promoted to kids..lol alot of people on opening day of this film were confused...very confused.

  • i hate when people say this movie sucked people who said the acting such needs too get a brain ject they had the best actors in the film its way better than the incredible hulk 2008 eric bana best hulk ever

  • bad movie, better cast

  • I just tracked down this trailer because I suddenly remembered an awesome song being used on some trailer for the film that was included on the Hulk game on the PS2. Speaking of music from the film, does anyone notice the similarities to those new coke ads?

  • they spent $2.1 million to put it on the super bowl

  • This looks like the perfect trailer for the beer-consuming, mindless Superbowl crows all right.

  • Is it okay to like BOTH Hulk movie? Seriously, I must be the only one that feels this way. I liked both films for different reasons, and I don't find either one to be truly bad. It seems like everyone leans towards one film and bashes the other.

I think Ang Lee did a good job at displaying the Hulk's true powers, while the new one did a better job at telling the origin story. There are other pros that both films had, but I honestly liked both and look forward to another Hulk film soon.

  • @DigitalRealmStudios The new one didn't even tell much of an origin story. It left off where the Hulk(2003) ended.

  • @TheLira70 No it didnt, Because Compairing to the 2003 and 2008 one, they had different origins and hulk 2003 ended in a jungle and hulk 2008 opened in a village [or something]

  • @syosset80 Yea and it zoomed out and it was in Brazil wasn't it? Same place the 2008 began?

  • Comment removed

  • @syosset80 the amazon is in South America.

  • @TheLira70 yeah i know, i watched the movie again a few days ago because their was nothing on tv.

  • @syosset80 Alright. I figured even though 2008 was standing alone, it basically started off where the last ended.

  • @TheLira70 i know, when i first saw 2008 movie, i though that too, personally i woudent mind a seaqul to the 2003 film. it was not that bad of a film

  • this movie is good. it's only hated because its not what a lot of people expect from a hulk movie. they dont want a detailed story, just 'smashing'. this movie had more of a point and the acting was pretty good ( bana made a better banner). this is comin from a huge hulk fan. most underrated marvel ,if not superhero film.

  • what is the song for the trailer called

  • @TheTombs13

We luv u _ Grand Theft Audio

  • the amount of times that explosion sound was used is hilarious

  • I'm not going to call this a Hulk movie, it's Ang Lee's The Hulk not The Hulk we similar to. And I also thing Spider-Man Reboot going to end up like this movie!

  • Dont get me wrong, I love this movie but I love how this trailer makes the movie out to be a hugely action movie xD

  • one of my top five favorite films

  • The hulk looked more realistic in this movie and better acting, it's only the script which was boring for summer flick. 2009 version with ed Norton was a joke with pointless action.

  • This movie was MUCH better then the Edward Norton one. It's such a shame that more people couldn't appreciate it, but this movie had a depth that was completely missing in the new one. I suppose the general public prefers a "big stupid action movie" but it was nice to see a superhero treated as a serious character for once. Outside of "Unbreakable" I can't think of another action movie where superheroes are treated like the alter-ego is equally important...it would be much more realistic.

  • this was better acting the 2008 was boggas i couldnt believe they made it that way hulk should more explosive bieng the 2003 was far better

  • this movie wasnt bad at all..it just wasnt what a lot of people expect from a hulk movie..most people liked the 2008 version because it had more action(plus hulk looked awesome)..as a hulk fan it was true to the comics...and yes he can grow to 15 ft tall... still a good movie, way better than spiderman 3 or xmen 3, or both sucktastic 4's

  • Saw the best parts in 46 seconds.

  • Funny how people cracked on the cgi of this specific trailer. I didn't really notice that much difference in the final film.

  • what is this song called i need to know. please answer if you know

  • Grand Theft Audio - We Luv You

  • all the best parts in the trailer. LOL!

  • Best part of the whole movie.

  • This thing got so much publiciy; but it just didn't live up to the hype. Even kids were pissed! *lol*

  • cool music! 2 bad the movie wasnt.

  • so true!

  • Like the trailer. The second movie was better. I would have liked the second movie even more had it had the same cast. I prefer Bana,Connelly, and Elliot over Norton,Tyler, and Hurt but Hurt was not bad as Ross probably the biggest plus to the movie.

  • I like the first one. The second movie has more action and beating but lacks a good story line to make it a good movie.

  • biggest plus to one was the cast but movie was slow to get going.

  • That's true. The comic panel shots were a very interesting attempt and IMO works out pretty well.

  • Yeah I did not like the comic panels at first but they were ok. Hulk 2 was better in look cause hulk was 1 height and not changing heights and bulging body parts with his Shrek look. If the cast of the first movie was with the action and villain of the second movie IMO that would have been perfect. Could have very easily made 2 a sequel to the one with the way it was done instead of a reboot but with the first movie cast in the second movie.

  • I think if Ang made a sequel the story will be similar to what we saw in Incredible Hulk. Not sure who's the villain but same idea of Banner escaping and finding the control which may lead to Gray Hulk. I agree that the new Hulk is rendered better than the first one.

  • Thank goodness Lee did not make the second. I have not seen a good movie he has made. I was surprised he did this and it was clear he did not know how to make it but the Bixby/Ferrigno series is far better than either movie and the movies do not even compare to the classic series..

  • this ad got me phyed i marked my calander for this movie and i was so fucking pissed off with the result

  • does anyone know the name of the track that plays from 0:17?????

  • It is We Luv U by Grand Theft Audio

  • It is We Luv U by Grand Theft Audio

  • By the sounds of things this movie sucked. I'm glad I did'nt go & see it than.

  • The Incredible Hulk was sO MUCH BETTER then this piece of crap! This movie i would give maybe 3/10 and The Incredible Hulk i would give an 10/10...TIH is just like an actual movie, this was more like a comic book.. really lame movie..lol sorry for the long message!

  • NP. Thanks. : )

  • You wouldn't like me when I am angry. Best line ever for tv..

  • Yeah, I like how they showed all the good stuff in the trailer. I actually wasted my hard earned money to see that garbage; 2+hours I can't get back of my life.

  • So you waited on the second movie for the dvd?

  • Yeah, for this 2008 edition I will DEFINITELY wait for the DVD. I was SO disappointed in the first film.

  • Sid- You made a good choice I wish i did. Last time I checked the SO MUCH BETTER 2008 movie was still about 6 million behind the 2003 movie and already in the cheap theatres.

  • damn when i saw the trailer for this movie i was so excited!!

but when i went inside the theaters after 20 minutes into the movie i just wanted to fukin get the hell out of there... it was so BORING!!!

  • wow this is a completely misleading trailer for a drama/thriller movie

  • isn't it weird?

This trailer is better than the full movie.

  • Sure is razormoviez!

  • i didn't really like the first hour and a half of this movie

  • the action scenes in hulk 2003 actually gave me a sense of excitement. Everything in hulk 2008 felt extremely cheesey and completely unexciting. especially the final battle. not saying 03 is a great film but i do enjoy it more than the 08 film.

  • TonyManeroNY- I agree i would take this over 08 but tv series is better over all and Bana for Banner in movies not Norton.

  • man this was a pretty big bust, and I agree with Scrat Stich that it makes the movie much more action packed than it actually was.

  • The worlds simplest formula. Take an iconic comic book character, add a bunch of action and explosions and you get a hollywood blockbuster. Ang Lee felt the need to make this a thinking mans movie and it fell flat. The truth is you can have a movie that is thought provoking and still bad, it's called HULK. Just because it is thought provoking does not mean it is good. Ang Lee has had great picture and will have more, this was not one of them.

  • Well said mate - couldn't have agreed more. Just because it was a unique and original take on doesn't make it good. You can still be innovative but wrong. Same with the casting. All the actors in this film are terrible in it - but not because they're bad actors, just because they are completely miscast!

  • bad acting ? ? have you seen the new film ?

    2003 hulk guy was amazing

  • Makes the film look a lot more action-packed than it actually was.

  • angry fanboys are funny

  • tbh i think this is one of the best marvel movies around. AND i thnk this hulk looks better than the new hulk.

  • Hulk is a great movie, but it aimed at the wrong demographics. It isn't about things exploding, it's about humans, and humanity.

  • I liked the film, it's just that it was marketed poorly. The trailer it seem like it would be two hours of non-stop-balls-to-the-walls-"HULK MAD! HULK SMASH!" action.

  • I feel exactly the same way, the action took a backseat but that's the genius of a hulk film because the character is complex enough for that to happen.

If they had marketed it properly as more of an adult themed character driven story, then it would have been received in a better light

  • I disagree with you both marketing buildup made it seem better than what it was. After the first week out and people spread word of how bad it was after seeing opening weekend that lead to the downfall pretty quick.

  • Market buildup was good until people saw it and word of mouth spread how bad it was. Marketing was not the problem. Advertising built it better than what it was until you see it. Then you think What a waste!

  • The marketing film didn't make it seem better, it just made it seem like a massive summer blockbuster film and didn't at all highlight the subtle story telling approach that ang attempted.

banner/hulk is an incredibly complx character and ang lee picked up on that, a fact that the majority of hulk fans seem to forget all the time.

everyone just wants to see him kick ass for 2hrs. if you want that, go play ultimate destruction.

  • Banner/Hulk is a complex character I agree and the tv series realy focused on that more than cartoon, comics, or the lousy 2003 movie. Ang did not have a clue how to make the movie and that was obvious from interviews with stars of the movie and watching it. Eric Bana for one and if Ang did it so good then he would be doing the second one just like most great sequels that are done most of the time by same director.

  • Does anyone know the name to the song in the trailer, its kick ass!!!

  • It is We Luv U by Grand Theft Audio

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • Brings back memories.

  • Ang Lee did not mess it up. It was that shitty concept art and CGI from ILM. Which is shocking, because they are normally kick ass.

  • Haha, those explosion sound effects are so overly used.

  • Too bad the movie did not live up to the trailer.

  • yes i agree with you the movie did not live up to the trailer

  • Thanks!

  • Actors were good and should have been in the second movie with Ang Lee not directing it. Are we gonna fall into the Batman thing and have a different Bruce Banner in every movie?

  • i agree

  • Yep!

  • Don't agree. Although I like the cast of this film, I don't feel that they captured the characters well. They were all incredibly dull, even sam elliot. Ed Norton is way better than Bana, and I think William Hurt is more versatile than Elliot. They just didn't make the characters memorable, but there were lots of flaws, even though there are things I like about the film also.

  • samjuro 4- Ed Norton cannot act for nothing. Have not seen him in one good movie and though i am not a fan of the 2003 movie Bana looks the part of Banner more than Norton. Elliot had the look for Ross. Actors did not ruin the movie. They were good choices. Ang Lee made a boring movie.

  • The actors are good (except Bana who was also poor in Troy and other stuff) but they weren't suited to the characters. The general public didn't give a shit about them. Ang Lee made some good choices but also some bad ones. There is no one single reason why the film didn't work, it's way more complicated than that. Ang Lee is a great director, and Ed Norton is fantastic, but you obviously don't like him and that's up to you.

  • Well, there are many people who would disagree with your assesment of Ang Lee. He's not suited to comic book blockbusters, but has made plenty of quality films and has a shitload of awards to prove it. Also Ed Norton has gained a lot of respect through films such as Fight Club. But I'm guessing you hate that, and you must hate Crouching Tiger aswell I guess (superb Ang Lee film). Never mind, perhaps you'll enjoy the new one, even if you do hate Norton.

  • sanjuro4-LIke I said have not seen anything good about by Lee the brokeback director and Norton the brokeback actor. You got your opinion and I have mine and it is not gonna change. Already seen the new movie trailer and am not impressed. Unfortunately both movies are probably gonna be duds. If Ang is so good he would be doing Hulk 2 and Hulk 1 would not be the worst movie of 2003.

  • Oh come on, he made a weak movie, that doesn't mean everything he does is shit. You believe that, but don't make out that every film he makes has to be great. Spielberg, Kubrick, Scorcese, Hitchcock all made poor films. Hulk was not the worst film of 2003, don't be ridiculous. If you hate Hulk2003 so much, stop watching Ytube videos about it. If you hate Norton so much, don't go and see Hulk 2008. Simple. I'm not crazy about Leterrier, but I'm willing to give him a chance to make this one work.

  • sanjero 4- It was voted the worst movie of 2003 so go research your facts. Yeah those directors did make bad movies but they have also made good ones and Lee hasn't made any i saw just because you like him. He sucks as a filmmaker period. I did not say 03 movie was hated I sad not a big fan so learn the difference and stop making more than there is. I will watch what the hell I want pal. I never said I hated Norton just he is a bad actor. Simply I don't plan on going to see the new 08 movie.

  • Sanjuro, dont waste your time. his views are so parochial he cant see past tissu paper. Ang Lee is a great director, just as Norton is a good actor. Hulk had many faults, but I it still a worthy movie ...so I dont know what I can say about the validity of a poll that votes Hulk as the worst movie of 2003. As for bigbill, learn to write, buddy. Maybe if you did, then we would be able to understand we you have to say ...but hey thats my opinion. I have a feeling its futile to share it with you.

  • marlon 0626- What is your problem mister rude ass comment man? I write just find pal, I understand sanjuros points and he understood mine so mind your own business. LOL! you said "we would be able to understand we you have to say". You tell me learn to write practice what you preach BUDDY! and learn to spell TISSUE! Yeah this is futile because everybody has their own views that are not gonna change. Like I said have not seen one good movie by Lee or Norton.

  • Well, if that is the case that superhero movies are so low on the 'foodchain', then it doesn't say much for Downey Jr (great actor), Christain Bale (good actor), Tobey Macguire (good actor when in the right role), Ian MacKellen (awesome talent), Kevin Spacey, Christopher Reeve etc.etc.

Ed Norton is a big fan of Marvel comics and in particular the Hulk, so he obviously doesn't feel it's beneath him. He also rewrote the script.

Anyway, I just want to enjoy the damn thing!

  • Dictionaries would not help a person use commas appropriately. Superhero films are not low on the "foodchain," films shouldn't be ranked by genre. I hate you.

  • I guessing you've never seen Red Dragon, Fight Club or American History X...

  • Zombie 88- Red Dragon and Fight Club ok I guess. Did not care for History X. Only seen them one time and been a while. Did not leave me with any good impressions of wanting to see them again. Just my opinons like it matters I cannot even have an opinion without other people wanting to start a big fuss over it.

  • I liked this film. But I do feel it could have been alot better. The Ed Norton one looks great!!!.

  • The actors were great and should have been in the second movie. They were good, Ang Lee ruined it.
