@TheoryOfSuicide Original Animation Video. It's a show that made for VHS or DVD. Most have 6 to 8 episodes. (But an old one called Legend of the Galactic Heroes had 110 episodes.)

By the way, there is an anime like this that is streaming on netflix, it is called Dead Leaves. It is a Mindfuck movie. You should watch it. And if you are okay with lots of gore and some sex (But not porn), you should checkout an anime called Mnemosyne. It takes a long time to understand what is happening.

And a really great action one is Claymore. It is on HD. Another Great one is Gai-Rei Zero. These are not Mindfuck anime, but they are great action anime.

Aha! While watching this series I knew it reminded me of Evangelion, and so I looked it up a little bit and found it's the same dude that wrote it! The main characters LOOK alike and both have sort of the same personality. Though this show is a LOT happier, I guess that the manga's kind of crazy as Naota actually kills his dad with the baseball bat and I guess his granddad goes on a suicidal bombing mission to destroy that giant building place (the name currently escapes me). Anyway amzing show!
