Thanks friend for your help. I have a Chevy Uplander 2007 with over 200,000Klms on it. Still in good shape but every winter I have this problem, more so when the winter is frozen at night and thawing in the daytime. I was told to put Methol Hydrate in the gas tank (same thing as gas line anti-freeze), As soon as I do that it picks up to normal again. I have to keep doing this all winter long. Last year I did clean the throttle intake like you mentioned and that helped for a while. Thanks Rick.
Hello D-Ray's, I got a question for you, I have a 2004 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 v8. I just change the spark plugs and wires, well the computer send me a code P0300. At the beguining was not a normal start but it whent away once I took it for a drive. I can heard a "air leak" or a sound like a "SSssss..." I never heard before...
@azfires That code is a "random misfire", could have been just a bad connection for a split second since you have moved a few wires around changing your plugs and wires. I'd make sure the wiring to the coils is plugged in good. If it re occurs and gives the same code with a number on the end "P0301, P0302" etc., that points to a specific cylinder misfire. As for the noise, might check th' purge valve on th' top-front of th' intake, just looks like a good place for a vacuum leak.
no diesel my truck pulls better i had one.....put a new cold air intake k-n and duel exhaust and a performance module im getting around14 mpg now soft on the gas pedal.do not no what else to do love my 2500 hd crew 4:10 gear just no hwy gears.
@trauthsmith Trade it off for a Duramax Diesel! lol If your HD is like mine, it gets around 11mpg......ugh! I'm just not a big diesel fan, so I live with it.
Im having this problem with my 2005 GMC Sierra. I took it to Autozone so they could run a diagnostic test. They tried to run it but could NOT communicate with my truck's CPU. I checked and made sure that all my fuses were in good shape. I have the Superchips Cortex programmer and that also is not being able to communicate.
ive had this error code pop up on my 05' HD. i have a diablo predator programmer that diagnoses the problem and clears the trouble code and turns off the check engine light. it happens like every 3-4 months but that seems to fix it. truck runs fine after everytime. ile check that connector to make sure no wires are loose though.
Thanks for the video. I'm having a problem with a 2010 Impala that does this intermittently, and gives a Traction Control System Engine Power Reduced warning. You can turn it off an leave it an hour or so and it doesn't come back on for several months, but it's aggravating and does it unexpectedly every time while driving down the road. Could this be the same or similar problem as yours? Thanks, bro.
@pf007 It's possible. If you can find someone with a scan tool, try to see what code or codes it has recorded. If it shows only code P1516 it just might be the same problem. I have also read where the wiring on the foot pedal connector does the same thing. If you can figure out what conditions it takes to cause the error code and reproduce them on a regular basis it will be alot easier to diagnose. Best of luck to you.
@draywanda I bought a connector on Amazon.com for $75 for my 2004 Yukon, free shipping after the dealership wanted $155. We changed that, the car wouldn't accelerate over 15mph, then just died completely. No problem with battery or altenator, the code read to replace computer. I bought one of Ebay for $112, it was programmed etc. great. The Yukon ran for about 2 weeks, and driving with my 3 kids again reduced engine power, Down to 10mph driving on the shoulder w/flashers on! I'm lost!
hello friend I have the same look problem with my 2004 silverado 4.8lts nothing more than my truck does this fault every 2 or 3 weeks for a moment I need to turn it off for 1 or 2 minutes for normal wing back q will change the throttle body but continued the failure could be either q also the connector body accelerations? I'd appreciate your reply .. costs as the connector?
@shikis070486 Thanks for stoppin' by, be sure to check the wires going into the throttle body, pull on each wire one at a time. if that looks good, try the same thing down where the wiring plugs into the accellerator. I have read reports of the same type of wiring issues there. The connector for the throttle body was almost 200.00! ouch! that is why I repaired my exsisting wiring. Best of luck to you my friend.
Thanks a million for this video you made. I had been having the same problem but with a 06 Chevrolet Cobalt SS. So I did what you said in the first video....The ol tug and pull. And sure enough on 2 wires on the connector to the throttle body showed signs of the 2 wires not making contact. I pulled on the 2 wires, one at at time and it ripped right off, wire on the inside of the jacket wasnt even making contact......Hey thanks again......
Man From Detroit you EFIN Rock I have been trying to figure this out on a 2006 g6 and its been giving me the flux wish i payed you the 3 grand gm raped me for and did not even fix the problem you my friend should get an award i know you got one from me god bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jamesfrazierel1 When this happened to me I did alot of reserch on th' net and found alot of horror stories on forum after forum. I'm just glad I found it without too much hassle! Thanks for watchin'!
