I have a problem with my underarms, it became so dark that I get embarrased and I don't use any deodorant at all because I don't really like to use anything for my underarms. Can you help me? I red your previous comment about it, and I don't know if it is because of hair under my skin or just because I have dark hair.
Also, which direction should I use to shave my legs? is it down to up or up to down?
Thank you so much for uploading these awesome videos.<3
Hi There, im a teenager and i havent shaved my legs yet and i have little bumps on my legs and i havent shaved my legs at all and i dont like them. So now im kinda scared to shave my legs, i dont want bumps after i shaved them.
@SerinaaGee Hi, be sure you shave them during your shower when they are nice and moist. You definitely want to use shaving gel so your razor glides smoothly over your legs. Be sure not to press on your skin while shaving as that will help you avoid bumps and nicks. When you come out of the shower moisturize your legs. That really helps. Don't worry you will do great :o)
i already shave my armpits. with soap and a 3 blade disposable razor. i have for over a year now. i have never shaved my legs. my mom told me already that i can whenever i think its right. my leg hair is 1.5 cm long. i've been really self consious about it lately. does it hurt or anything(shaving my legs). i am terrified but is it any different than shaving my armpits?
@daddysbabygurl2040 Hi, it doesn't hurt at all. Just be gentle and use a new razor. Don't press too hard to avoid irritation. It's easier than your underarms, so you'll do great!
is shaving a better alternative to waxing ? I tried waxing and its SO painful. But i also heard shaving makes hairs coarser and thicker ? Is that true ?
@lollipopstarable Hi, I'm with you, waxing is too painful! Shaving will not make your hair grow in coarser or thicker. People think that because when you shave, it cuts off the hair flat across so when it grows in the blunt cut at the tip makes it look like it's coarser. Waxed hair comes out of the follicle with a little point on the end so it appears finer. I would just rather shave more often than wax :o)
@YouTips4U I'm still a little afraid to shave as last time when i tried shaving my underarms became so dark ( any tips to get rid of that ? ) Also i would have to spend more time in the shower everyday to shave right ? Thanks.
@lollipopstarable Hi, it could be your deodorant, or it could be that you are looking at the hair in your follicles under your skin which can make a shadow. This is common with ladies with dark hair. It really doesn't take long to shave your underarms in the shower, probably only 1-2 extra minutes. I keep my razor hanging up in my shower area so it's ready to go. If you do experience dark shadow which is just the hair growing in, you can shave more often to minimize that.
when I shave my arms , the top of them become itchy . When I scratch it my skin gets spots. Then they go after a week. Could this be due to goosebumps.
Hi, be sure you don't have goosebumps when you shave. The itching could be caused by ingrown hairs trying to pop out. Use an exfoliating wash before shaving and the next day as well to help remove any dead skin cells that could be blocking your hair follicles. Then be sure you moisturize daily. You could also have dry skin.
But, if you you use a razor with only 2 blades aren't you more likely to get cuts that way? I used one for about a month and irritated my skin and later razor cuts appeared.
Thank you for posting this vid!! im 15 and was wondering why i kept getting small little bumps after i took a shower! I guess it is goosebumps and maybe the razor because i use three blades! i will try ur tips for sure! :D
Hi, thanks so much for your lovely compliment. I'm so glad I make you feel comfortable and send blessiings back to you. Congratulations on your baby. I really don't recommend slim fast or products like that because I truly believe the best way to lose weight is by eating healthy fresh foods and practicing portion control. I would much rather eat my food which is so much more satisfying, than drink it down :o)
you're videos are great! I always find them helpful....plus you're so nice :) Is that razor just a disposable one or do you just have to replace the heads on it?
Thanks for replying! I still miss the lather but I am trying to get used to it, as I know the natural soaps are so much better for you, plus they feel and smell so good. I look forward to your upcoming natural soap video...
I have very sensitive skin, and what always helps me is applying sudocrem (diaper rash creme) after shaving. It takes care of the painful skin completely. I don't know if this particulair brand is available in the US, but undoubtedly there is a similair creme available.
I do shave my legs before bedtime, so perhaps it is not as useful for those who shave in the morning, since the creme does leave a white residu.
Thanks so much for this valuable information! I've never seen tips on this before. I've always shaved my legs with soap and it worked pretty well. But lately I've been experimenting with natural soaps which don't lather very well, and I've been having a hard time shaving my legs; they just get too dry. I think also there's something with the water where I live now that it doesn't lather too well. So shaving cream I guess it is! And a new razor. And, uh, spring for some new blades :-)
Hi, I have an upcoming video on natural soaps. I love them too. I've found that some don't lather as well, but I've gotten used to it. We're just so used to lathering up, but if you notice, you do have plenty of soap on your hands to cleanse properly. I do agree though that shaving cream is a better choice for shaving.
I LOVE my electric shaver for my legs. I don't have to be in the shower, but can if I want to as it is waterproof. I bought it at Walmart for about 30 bucks, which is cheap if you think of how long they last (years). Never had a nick or in-grown hairs or razor burn EVER with it. If you buy one that is about 30 bucks or more, the shave is so very close and smooth. Don't waste your money on the cheap-o ones.
I hate my legs, even when I shave no matter how I shave or what I put on, they never look smooth. I've researched EVERYWHERE to get rid of my KP, it's a skin condition where you get those little red spots. My skin FEELS smooths, but the texture is not so great. :( I use Eucerin on my skin everyday and that helps it a bit, or if I go in the sun and get a tan, the red bumps are less visible. But I would love to treat it, or at least help it or something. Any suggestions? I would appreciate it!
Hi, I think I have heard of that condition. Doesn't it have something to do with skin cell turnover being too fast and causing the skin to get irritated. I have heard that it is genetic, but sometimes people can outgrow it, or at least keep it at bay; that's if I'm thinking of the right condition. Have you spoken to your dermatologist. Perhaps using a very gentle exfoliator may help to loosen and remove dead skin cells.
@YouTips4U Yes it is hereditary, unfortunately, lol. Unfortunately there's no cure for KP yet. :/...I've read on this topic thoroughly, made research on it with people with the same condition and I've tried different things they've suggested. I just wish it would be gone forever. I'm already an adult, and supposedly it says that it goes away during adulthood, but I guess we will see. In the meanwhile, I will continue to exfoliate and apply my cream as usual. And tanning in the summer helps too.
I shave with the Venus razors. They have a bunch of different types of Venus, but I think the regular one works the best for me. I also shave with the Skintimate shaving creme. It's some GREAT stuff! Then after I get out of the shower I put on some baby oil while I'm still wet. After I'm all dried off I use the gold bond lotion and what a difference my skin feels! :)
So what can you do if you already have ingrown hairs? I have little spots all over my legs I assume they are ingrown hairs that I have had since I started shaving. HELP I hate them
@triseana I want them to go away too but other then picking at each one to take them out I ahve no clue how to handle it and last thing I want to do is more damage :(
@florezittta10 there is a cream from VEET...that prevent hair to grow under th skin..,but for now..use salt or sugar with oil use it on the area u want to shave..BEFORE shaving...then take a shower with soap..or shower gel on the area u used the oil on,then dry it...and shave.. ;) ,anyway..wax is better.
@jawanasai But will that help prevent or get rid of what I have already. Because I literally have them all over my legs and they are very visible. they are not like goose bumps either they are flat on my skin and I dont know what to do about them have had them for ever like I said and I really want to have normal skin :)
@florezittta10 thats because you allways shave..,now..wait tl the hair grow..then try what i said to u before..and if you can buy that cream from veet,i didnt try it but i think it will help..but the oil and the salt will help..but sure not from the first time..then wax...dont shave..but wax..its more good, you`ll see, also use the oil and the salt not softly i mean do it strongly.(i dont know the word in english its not my language) but..it mean while doing that..do it in circle motion and strong
