i have 6 mausers and i enjoy them alot I have a unaltered 1916 short rifle 7mm, my swede 96 made in 1909 in 6.5x55, I have a yugo m48 a with out nothing on it in 8mm and my newest gun my czvz24 which is my favorite! in 8mm is that aczech helmet your wearing? does anyone know where i can find a vz 24 bayonet frog?
First make sure the safety lever on the rear of the bolt is straight up or half safe. Then rotate the bolt up and push out a small lever (bolt stop) on the left side of the receiver away from the receiver body, and continue to pull the bolt all the way out to the rear. At least this is the way i get them out on my Czech and German Mausers, but should be the same for all m98 based rifle actions. Good luck and keep shooting, which Mauser do you have?

That's weird for an A code not to have the "langevisor" sights.
