it explicitly states it in the bible that speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift just as some of us have been given other gifts. I'm referring to 1corinthians 12:1-11 but be sure to read on in 12:28-30.

and btw there is no sin that God cannot forgive through Jesus, all sin is serious big or small... but that has nothing to do with speaking in tongues...
