  • i give this guy credit, it took me for ever to play this on my guitar

  • this reminds me of the end of paper mario.

  • Zakk is a beast of a guitar player, creatively his own work does not compare on the same plateau as Randys (no shit sherlock we dont need to debate shit like this captain obvious!) On the contrary Zakk is the only one on this planet who can pull off Randy's solos with his own style & flair, so i give him 2 thumbs up.

  • The thing about zakk wylde is that he can play guitar and piano and also sing so there's no need for people to dis him, and he probably doesnt give a rats ass if u dont like him or not HES RICH BITCH!! lol

  • @rockstardeleon Damn straight ;D

  • pretty good man! Keep up the good work! U ROCK!

  • wats ur settings plz tell me i hav the exact same gettup!

  • what amp model are u usin

  • Very nice cover, and amplifier :D I love my Line 6

  • if they ever create a time machine i think their first mission should be to stop Randy's death.

  • Since when do you care about Dee song

  • props

  • Well played, but o man the effects make it sound like background music at a mall.

  • Man I think you played it nice. But you should really play it on an acoustic one

  • a classical one to be specific

  • Comment removed

  • you were ok till :18 then you crashed and burned.

  • Can't be played on an electric. Failed before you even started. 1 Star.

  • chorus

  • beautiful...i wish randy was alive :( he is my favorite guitar player and he should know that 20 years after his death he is a 12 year old's favorite guitar player R.I.P Randy Rhoads

  • @jacobaaron18 hes mine to buddy randy is everything to me

  • While you are a good guitarist...in respect to Randy Rhoads please change that C to a C# at the 17 second mark of your performance. Like I said great job as a guitarist, but I did cringe at that one moment. I teach this composition and you might as well get it right.

  • Well played, very enchanting sound. I almost like this as much as the original studio recording. xD but right now its about equal.

    Rock on, man.

    RIP Randy Rhoads

  • Amazing, I'm trying to learn this now.

  • Excellent

  • tone was beautiful man

  • we will all remember him from this enchanting masterpeace may the spirit of Randy Rhoads live on forever. RIP

  • sweeeet

  • really really really nice

  • Absolutely beautiful

Randy would have loved this :)

  • good choice of amp for this song

  • what are your settings on the amp

  • is that line 6 amp, a tube amp?

  • dont think so

  • No, it's a solid state.

  • It sounded great , but try in an acoustic one .. It's better !

  • rest in peace RR.

  • this song was written for his mother

  • Google it you dick

  • :O i have but nothing like it ???? wutd o do to u?

  • wow amazing chorus effect! what pedal/amp are you using?

  • line 6, i have the same amp

  • the amp is great

  • I have to learn this. I love Randy's stuff. Sound is good on that amp.

  • awesome version checkout my own cover done with my own acoustic fingerstyle arrangment of goodbye to romance and many others feel free to comment

  • is that a line 6 spider III 75?

  • I don't think its a 3. Maybe the 2. Notice how the Line 6 label is

  • maybe your right :D

  • yeah its gotta be a 2. I looked atmy amp which is the spider 3 75w Line 6. And noticed that mine, the line 6 logo comes out of it. That ones like caved in :D

  • i think i want to buy a line 6 spider 3 75 :P

    is it a good amp?

  • Its a damn good amp. Everybody is getting it so I had to try it out myself. I fell in love with it. And then bought it. Just play it first and make sure you get the right sound that your looking for out of it too. But I think its a good well recommended amp. Havent had any problems with it. Nice distortion. Nice cean

  • sounds good ;) i'll by one soon :)

  • cool : )

  • yeah ;)

  • they're really worth it, you could literally play dozens of genre's from smooth jazz to black metal :D

just got me one last month

    not too expensive either

  • nice :D

  • idk tho, i like Line 6's but if you have the chance a Peavey Vypyr is where you wanna go

they relatively new on the market, but they're amazing

  • how much are the Vypyr's?

  • depends, i got my 30 watt for $200. if u want something a little bit more affordable a 15 watt should come for about $100, but be warned u lose the built-in stompboxs, like a distortion pedal and wah etc etc

  • Exelent cover man, 10 points..

  • that shame, q sos person touches the fastest in the world to come and play well the subject of a great guitarist, you're shit, to make such a sacrilege

  • learn how to fucking write jesus

  • Beautiful!!!

  • good job, i played this on a martin classical with a fishman on a fender acoustisonic, it sounds better in nylon, nonetheless, the ibanez, or at least it looks like one has a nice tone also.

    -props-

    very clean

  • That could make me cry.

    Nice.

  • bravo

thats not an easy piece to play

  • Great sound dude, a rare thing to see (hear) on youtube...

  • Just beautiful with your electric guitar!!!

  • what effect are you using?

  • since hes using a line 6 spider i would guess a preset on the amp

  • Jesus, can everyone just enjoy the music? Who cares if its right? It sounds awesome either way!

  • yes, if your refering to yourself.

  • I love that song! I've been trying to learn it forever... Randy Rhoads is my idol.... i wonder what music today would be like if he were still alive and playin? o.o

    Hmmmm.....

  • iff he were still alive. zakk wylde would most likely have never been discovered, therefore no Black Label Society.

  • i would prefer randy rhoads being alive over having BLS existing

  • I agree, but without Zakk Wylde, we would never have heard the No More Tears or Mama I'm Coming Home.

That being said, I would take Randy Rhoads over Zakk Wylde any day.

  • zakk wylde is a fat hairy viking who has no tone, randy owns!

  • hahahaha, thats true, but zakk is a great guitarist, but randy is wayway way way better!

  • @SnoopPog thats not even funny you always have to make fun of fat people

  • @SnoopPog Definitely YES.

  • @SnoopPog, you know jackshit about music and zakk wylde and randy rhodes they are both awesome. ur a jackass

  • @SnoopPog Zakk a great guitar player too.

  • @SnoopPog - Watch Zakk Wyldes early stuff from Book of Shadows and other acousitc stuff he has. Stop talking shit about him, he is so much greater than you will ever be

  • @SnoopPog Randy owns RIGHT and he's my hero but Zakk isn't a normal human he is a king of beasts !!

  • @SnoopPog YEAHHHHHH I LIKE IT !

  • u do the same thing i do in the beginning after the harmonic. that thing with your hand. great guitar work man.

  • on an ibanez too!

  • you've got a good feeling !

  • dude when i s\aw the still for this video i thought i would have to complain to you for playing it on a n electric but you nailed it you got the tone just right

  • This is a great tune, touches the soul.

  • if you play classiscal guitar u r supposed to cross your legs its not feminine

  • wow you're an asshole

  • btw that was at dku001

  • Comment removed

  • @hotsnakes1 Wow, you are a motherfucker!

  • lmao

  • Very Well Done !

  • i hope u ppl know that he idn't go through the line 6. he went through a ibanez Jpm P4 with a Boss gt-3 effector. (btw)

  • Definately the best cover of Dee, beautfully played.

  • Yo i also got that line 6 amp

    Nice cover

  • haha, so do i.............i just happened to stumble uppon this video

  • hahahaha Sweet

  • good stuff

a done it on acoustic but its sound god on both

  • this is by far the BEST cover of this song i have evr heard...and ive heard some good ones...but this one is the best. good job!!

  • easily my favourite cover of the song =D

  • Great job!!!!

  • Obvious issues at :19 and the hammer-ons and pull offs at around :35, needs more feeling especially on the acending 3rds part and overall but overall pretty good. (hope you don't mind constructive criticism)

  • your retrded- it sounds almost identical to the recorded version-only dif is that recorded is accoustic and this is accoustic simulator with some reverb

  • You'll notice my comments were in regard to the playing and some issues with the harmony, not the sound. I'm glad you like chorus though, go buy a pedal.

  • you will have to notice that i was saying that he played it almost flawless you obviously have never heard the song before and therefore have no right to say anything about the quality that it was played. go fuck off

  • Buddy if you've heard the song and can't tell that Randy plays a G at :19 and this kid is playing a C, then your ear sucks and you should really feel badly about that. There's not much more to say on the subject.

  • its actually supposed to be a bminor but im not a asshole and going to say you suck cuz you get one note wrong espescially on a song with so many complicated chords and the overdubs that dude played without overdubs- ps no one likes an asshole

  • It's supposed to be a G, you fail. If you're so keen on this article you keep referring to, maybe you'll actually learn how to spell Randy Rhoads at some point. Fail (again).

  • what ever dude like i said your a dick

  • Then u must love me because you look like the gayest noob on youtube. You favorite White lion and walk around playing guitar shirtless?? Bwhahahahaha. h0mo.

  • Agreed with thegreatpumpkin. It's definitely a G that Randy plays at 0.19. Anybody who has even a vague concept of the tune would be aware of that. The C note just doesn't work in place of it. Despite that though, it's an excellent rendition of the original. Certainly better than I can do.

  • tatarara ta..

-why do i almost "come" when i hear dee???

    -i know why

    -tell me,plz

    -because it rules!!

  • yes ..i agree with you !

  • Awesome. Very well done. Keep up the good work my friend. I play jazz, but I recognize and bow to the genius of Randy Rhoads and his influence on young players.

Probably the only guitarists with Randy on a technical level in rock would be someone like Alex Lifeson, Steve Morse,Eric Johnson or my all time favorite, Steve Howe.

  • definately in the top 5 best dee covers on youtube. played flawless

  • That was very well done and pretty clean

  • What settings and effects r u using on the line 6

  • One of my favorite songs ever. Randy Rhoads will never be forgotten. He will live on in his music and the hearts of his die hard fans. Randy, rest in peace brother.

  • Hello, i just wanted to say this was an awesome performance of the song, randy rhoads was a guitar god. I am starting to play guitar myself, been playing for about 7 months, i can play alot, but havent learned anything by rhoads, i have been practicing this song, and was wondering where did you get your tabs. Thankyou. And good job.

    RIP RHOADS

  • use your ears

  • yea tabs suck learn by ear trust me it will help you in the long run

  • don't learn by ears if u dont want to its alot of work.. and would take years to be able to get every note in this... im sure he got his tabs at either ultimate-guitar (dot) com or, 911tabs(dot) com

  • here's how good he was; he was just warming up when ozzy hired him

  • no ozzy never heard him every one was just saying he was relly good then ozzy just hired him

  • thats not what wikipedia says. and we all know wikipedia = god.

  • No, Ozzy hired him when he warmed up - learn it.

  • no dude randy whent in started warming up and ozzy said ok ill be in touch-when randy whent home he thought that he did not get the job but ozzy called him next day and offered him the job-as told by delores rhodes in the legends randy rhoades

  • Ozzy actully told him he had the gig right after Randy played a few riffs. That's when Randy was thinking "You didn't even hear me yet"

  • we can argue about it for the next 3 years- ihave the article in gw legend randy rhodes and he did not know he had the job til the next day look it up- ozzy says he made the offer that day but at the time he was so high ad drunk he wouldnt be able to accuratly give details of what happened -delores rhodes is who the interview was with not ozzy- i think she would remember something like that-it was the biggest day in randys life and she his mother

  • pumpkin boy is right... it doesn't resolve the way randy wrote it at :19

  • dude randy was just pluggin into the amp and dickin off, ozzy was so impressed with randy, ozzy said "you got the gig" !!!! LOOK IT UP DIPSHIT!!!

  • dude what are you looking up yes according to ozzy when randy plugged in and started warming up he said you got the gig- but again for like the 100000000th time when he got home his mother asked if he got the job and he said i dont think so i never got a chance to play- look that up dick

  • no thats wrong ozzy told randy he had it wen he was warming up not the next day

  • no dude your right he did get the job warming up that much is true-but he didnt know he got it til the next day- i have the interview with randys mom right here- he got home and she asked if he got the job and randy said "I dont think so. He(Ozzy) said he would let me know but i never got a chance to play." then the call came the next day from ozzy saying that randy had the job

  • This guy is AWSOME! Beautiful............

  • Sometimes I like to imagine what Ozzy's 3rd album with Randy would've sounded like . .

  • no words could say how that album would be.

  • God loved randys playing so much he made him come home early,m= if he was still living though i think rock would be absolutely nothing if it wasnt for randys work and style of playing

  • Rhoads is the best guitarist, and yet Had time for a soft side R.I.P. December 6 1956-March 19 1982

  • god was that beautiful. never got to see randy as i am only 15. but he is by far the best guitarest out there, Rock will never die but in 10 years no one will remember rap or r&b. RIP randy, cant wait to play with you in the afterlife!

  • damn man i have never heard anyone play that song so damn perfect. last time i heard it perfect was well when randy plays on my speakers. great job man, thats amazing. i agree with ryanturnmire. randy would be pround

  • jeez its hard to find a guitar player who plays this perfect there is always different cord
