I beat the shit out of my Traxxas stampede and spend more time fixing then driving. Flux vs Stampede, Traxxas looses. My 7 year old son breaks the stampede with every battery, Flux still to date no breaks.

This was the first time I ever jumped this truck. I doubt you were much better the first time you jumped a 1/8 scale truck with this much power.

@aceshayarielatom Me neither.... but it may have been because this was the first time I ever jumped that truck and wasn't used to the handling. I'm obviously not an expert like you but now that I've had the truck for a while and can handle it pretty well I'm game for some competition. Post up some triple backflips without crashing and I'll get mine back out and see if I can top that.

@jssouthtx i was simply looking at the area you were at, don't be getting on the defense. it just looked like the truck would stick, bounce and roll over on a landing instead of roll out of them, just unusual for the savage, though im only running what used to be a 25. a triple would be much easyer with a brushles setup...im working on that next.

@aceshayarielatom Agreed....the terrain didn't lend itself to good landings. You're right too in that the savage usually handles landings better than that. I also started with a .25 that is now fully grown into a 5.9 XL. I'm a diehard savage fan, brushless or nitro the savages are the toughest trucks out there.

as for the triple...lol I still have not pulled one off with a successful landing. Hopefully I'll land one one of these days.

@KASSIDYPOLLARD I have trouble seeing air too. Although if you look between the truck and the ground when it's at the highest point of the jump there is actually some air between the truck and the ground.

That was the first time I had jumped the truck that high and was just getting the hang of it. Actually that was the first time I've jumped any rc vehicle that high.

do the diffs break often?

All the time on pavement, not so much in the dirt. This video is on 2S lipos and I had minimal pinion trouble. I now run 3S lipos and just thursday ordered a set of HPI's new bulletproof diffs so I'll see how those work.

There have been no reported broken ring gears with the bulletproof diffs. :) The internal gears did break though. lol

that sucks...now instead of just grabbing a new pinion from the local rc shop i'm gonna be changing out whole diffs.........so much for a 9 dollar fix.

I've only read about two guys doing this and it was probably because the diff cup wasn't screwed down properly.

The little 4mm pin locking the drive shaft to the outside spider gear always breaks on me now :P but the bevel gears hold up just fine! XD

You should see the air my RC airplane gets. It can loop several times, and even roll. I can make it fly inverted too, it costs less than this boring 2 channel truck.

4S enereland lipo......that truck took some hard landings on the bigger jumps and the chassis and susp. did great minus a few busted shocks and a diff. Hence my motto....bash it till it breaks
