MeeGo - QT based UI running on AAVA's Moblin 2.1 Smartphone

Nokia was right in canceling this stupid MeeGo OS in favor of Windows Phone 7 OS. MeeGo would never have lasted in the mobile world; it looks like shit. Android, iOS and WP7 are ruling the world.

is this a nokia running the meego here possibly the n920? i went and bought an iphone 4 n900 & maemo is junk so is ovi garbage apps and games but i still liked the freedom to not pay for everything i shouldnt have to but technology doesnt quit. Nokia always a step behind in the software development. and to damn thick ass nokia`s is a turn off.

@COMPTROL The Qt guys aren't in charge of designing UIs, just creating the underlying libraries. Absolutely correct about the pronunciation though: the people who are working on the code call it "cute" across the board.

Why are they redeveloping everything? I thought Meego was supposed to be a merging of Maemo and Moblin. This looks like a completely different UI.

@Dessimat0r Well, Maemo 5 was the successor of Maemo 4, and it's interface looks "completely different."

It wouldn't make much technical or aesthetic sense just to mash the two UI's together.
