Roy has never had a game release in america and only ONE in japan. Ike is the major money maker in america for the franchise and putting in someone else with marths moveset AGAIN would be pointless Roy wasn't as good as everyone thought i found that out when i realized all he has is strong smashes. Which are useless against someone whos truly good.

I never said anything about roy's moves v. ike's(although you're high if you think he's stronger than ike.) I just said he had the same moveset as Marth. Its stupid for a major american seller like SSBB to have a japanese only character. which is why they introduced ike. And if you're playing against people who actually know what they're doing than ike isn't cheap.Besides if ike is cheap and what you say is true about roy being stronger and faster than doesnt that make roy cheap?

you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Ike's recovery sucks balls. The only attacks that he has that don't make him flinch are up b (aether) and counter (which roy had.) And you might not give a crap but Ike is a perfect hero. All of his virtues are flawless which is why he went in over roy. Falco isn't a direct copy of fox. His standard a's, smash attacks, recovery, deflector, and gun all have differences. the only true clone is toon link. But sakurai didn't want clones at all.

In conclusion: 1. sakurai never liked roy in the first place. 2. Ike is more familiar to the American consumers which make over half the money for this game. 3. Ike isn't cheap, he's overpowered but he's slow and has awful recovery. 4. Sakurai didn't want clones in the game so toon link was lucky to slip by. 5. Roy and marth never even deserved to be in melee stop bitching about how roy should have been in brawl like a fucking fan girl. grow up and deal with it cause you can't change it anyway.
