I cannot express enough how much you are appreciated; I log-on to my account and all the Worlds' woes seem to be on my front page, then I reluctantly click to see I have two emails. At this point I think those emails will be of a malevolent nature. Then something truly awesome occurs. The window opens and it's Jean Hancock! I am instantly reminded of the great benevolence we humans possess. My eyes slight tear-up in a dichotomy of Joy and fading pain.

In february 2010, our "band" was allowed to play an original song in a competition. While everyone else had vocalists in their bands, we were the only of the 17th acts that played instrumental music. I said we want to defend instrumental music. The piece we played was good, but you're doing instrumental music more honour. :)

No esta mal, pero podría estar mejor. El ritmo es monótono. La entrada de la guitarra esta bien, pero en el total de la melodía te lleva hacia un sentimiento en donde al final te falta algo que no llega. Es como si fuera un ave que corre para alzar el vuelo, al final no lo consigue, al principio parece que esta muy motivada y alegre para hacerlo y que no tendrá dificultades. Parece que todo te saldrá bien pero al final algo esta incompleto. De todas forma me ha gustado. Suerte.

Jean, you have a talent for writing catchy and dramatic tunes that are just long enough to make you feel good and and just short enough to stop the song from appearing unnaturally long (repeating choruses/verses etc). Kudos to you on good song writing.

Great stuff Jean.

Its simplicity at its best. The piano was great. And so was the rhythm behind the band. The problem I have is that the guitar solo sounded to, well, over done. C minor pentatonic I'd presume? Its just that all too familiar pattern gets old. Its a bit of constructive criticism. You did ask for my opinion. It still was good, I just wish you can find your own voice on the guitar. Hope to hear form you soon!

Nice! ANY truly new music is refreshing. After 60 years of mass-market music, around 1980, composers GAVE UP trying to find new logical progressions of notes, since if any four matched another composition, you got SUED for plagiarism! But at least you're TRYING! Keep up the good work!

Jean, this is truly a fantastic performance. To master the keys and strings is so impressive to me. And for a song to convey the frenetic nature of traffic without leaving the listener jangled and frustrated is truly an important skill. I'm not clear if this is an original piece of music? I suspect it is yours, but I always look for a piece to designate "Orig comp" somehow when it is so. Either as an

original or as an ambitious cover, it's still great.
