I lived in Key West and had some great times up in Key Largo. Renee M. and I had it all but I let her slip away back to her home on the West Coast (CA.). I just could not return to the west for many reasons. The last time I saw her, she was driving away and I said "Here's looking at you kid" and she smiled and said " I will always love you and I understand". When I hear the song, I can taste, smell and feel the ocean on my face. Magical Times. ART

Bogart was one of the truly great American stage and film actors of the 20th Century, but tended to get typecast as a hard-boiled "tough guy." Suggest you see him in "African Queen," "Caine Mutiny" and "Beat The Devil" to get a real sense of his range as an actor.
The movie was Casa Blanca and it is a classic. Bogie was Humphrey Bogart and Bacall was Lauren Bacall. "Here's looking at you kid" is a line from the movie.
This song is just so amazing!! Such a truly beautiful song full of true emotion and feeling. This song takes me back to days of true happiness and innocence. I miss those days. My heart just aches for those days so much. What a time that was! Never to be forgotten! There was a magic in the air back then that you just cant feel today and that is a real shame. Just finished watching "To Have and Have Not," Bogie and Bacall had such chemistry. She was quite possibly the most beautiful woman to ever the grace the silver screen.
