  • Whoever the 2 dislikes are from are either gay or unamerican!!

  • Nothing like some good ol blower surge.....mmmmm

  • Now that's what I call a ringtone!

  • shit boat

  • I'm going to miss that sound when everything goes electric. :(

  • @XZaapryca Damn man I feel ya. Speed is just so much funner when you have sound to go with it.

  • there went his gas tank

  • Speed costs money how fast do you want to go...

  • what is hooked up to those two holes shooting out water out the back...not the exhaust the two little ones, im guessing its something with the blower?

  • i could listen to this all day,,, sounds great

  • @joerufino77 These boats are outstanding as far as the ride goes...and p.s. there is no oil in the gas dipshit....do you mix oil in the gas for your car moron? Nevermind, you probably can't afford a car.

That is called steam from the exhaust. Not sure if you have ever heard of steam.....

  • Can someone educate me as to why the engine rpm's pulse while at idle?

  • @joerufino77 why dont u go back to ur shitty singing cus this boat sounds way better than the shit ur talkin

  • mercruser power !...

  • nice spectre boat here

    watch?v=qKS5Arv1Zg8

  • Contrary to joerufino77's opinion, I've gone 118 in this boat in 3' blown out chop runnin in a poker run right next to a 35' Nordic Flame w/ twin 700s. The boat felt 100% stable. My g/f & my buddys g/f ride in the open boy @ 110+ all the time. I think if joe is being a little girlyman I might have to put him up there too so I dont have to hear him cry. Joe, maybe if your buddy knew how to drive @ high speeds you'd feel a little safer in a boat of this caliber. Stick to a canoe, u2 will look cute

  • actually in this case bigmrclean ur wrong this boa thas a blower and that sound u call rough idle is called blower surge mainly due to the carburation settings which the camshaft is a part of but no camshaft will cause a boat to sound like that

  • noob question, do boats have clutches or something? I notice the propeller doesn't spin

  • @dumapies they have a forward neutral and reverse

  • @dumapies no hahah he had it in neutral theres a button on the throttle that lets u do that haha...i think...a tlaeast with my boat its taht way but then again mine isnt a beast like this in fact its nowhere near

  • actually with this boat its the supercharger its called blower surge got more to do with the carburation than anything no engine without a supercharger will surge like that

  • i bet it might go faster *in* the water.

  • WOW....that was fast!

  • that would suck if you were doing 110 mph and the impeller shredded and you still kept going

  • Im looking to put 406 chevy in my boat need a little help it new to me on marine engines I understand everything except where to get get marine heads used to rebuild and guys running blown engines but no water out the exhaust. More of A NORMAL CAR SYSYTEM BUT WHERE WOULD THEY PUT THE RADIATOR AND ITS GOT BE HARD TO KEEP IT COOLED WHEN THE ENGINE SITS SO LOW FROM GETTING AIR?

  • Fuckin bad ass man I tell you what are you runing a closed cooling system with raw water set up?

  • Where is this located to purchase?

  • Blower surge. AWESOME. I have a little more HP in my Daytona, but I wish it would surge like this. This motor is DIALED in..Nice boat..

  • well u cant use gas efficency as a selling point

  • Not too familiar on Engine workings, but why up to 0:31 the engine idles like that?

  • I believe it is from higher lift/duration cam shafts that give it the lope, like in muscle cars.

  • mechanically driven fuel pump

  • That's camshaft talking. The more lift on the camshaft the more the valve opens. The more the valve opens and stays open (duration) the more the air/fuel mixture is disturbed. That is why the idle is "rougher" . It's letting more fuel and air get into the engine and hopefully out lol. With the AFR heads he says he has on that engine I'm sure it doesn't have a problem breathing. The more duration the camshaft has the longer the valve stays OPEN, the rougher the idle is.

  • @bigmrclean actually valve overlap is what causes most of the idle lope. the time the exhaust and intake valves are open at the same time

  • @dlinecg Yes, This is also true. You are correct. Lobe seperation also plays a big part in what you just mentioned.

  • it's pretty cool because cam manufacturer's can sell a cam with a greater overlap time in the cam profile but make it a mild lift and duration so those who want a mild engine can have the rough idle :)

  • The motor is pushing the belt on the supercharger which is hard at idle so the engine sounds like it is barely running.

  • its not idling they are reving it

  • Pretty much a combo of the cam and the blower-

    Not a mechanical fuel pump.

I could have a gear driven cam but I doubt it that would add more whine.

Its a stout high lift moderately high duration camshaft & Blower surge caused by a roots type compressor (supercharger) running off likely a cogged belt.

This is all normal for a blown high performance engine.

Engines like this are hard on outdrives

if you shift on a surge you can kill the cone clutch

If you shift low you can kill it.

  • Sounds fantastic!
