  • Calvinism is demonic period..predestination is ignorant

  • @DennisInDeltona So you're saying the apostle Paul was "ignorant", wow, you know more than the Bible! Paul writes in Ephesians 1: 4ff: "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy & without blame before him in love having PREDESTINATED us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will." Eph. 1:11: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being PREDESTINATED according to the purpose".

  • Calvinism is demonic period

  • @DennisInDeltona you dont understand calvinism if you say its demonic,,,let me ask you did Jesus die for satanists? yes,,,he died for all,,the sacrifice was sufficient ,but not all are going to accept him,,,,so he died for all but only some will come to him the ones he draws,,,its says noone comes to the father unless he is drawn,,,so GOD draws the ones he chooses,,,are you saying that GOD is being unfair by saving only some? so why not draw all,,,bc he is doing it to glorify himself

  • the guy with the overhead isnt looking at the context of 1st corinthians. when it says our, it doesnt mean everyone because the letter to corinth was written to those who were sanctified already. 1 Corinthians 1:2 "2 To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours". its only written to those who are saved

  • Why doe someone have to argue over 'truth' in the Bible? There are some good bits in it, but finding them is like looking for candy in a colostomy bag. Genesis is gibberish, Revelations is so bizarre it should carry a health warning, and everything in between is pretty much in between.

The fact that the Bible is so open to interpretation persuades me that it is not divinely inspired, but the work(s) of men.

  • I understand where you are coming from Gorteenminogue & there are a whole lot of people in this world who would agree with you. This takes us back to the subject of this debate series which you are now commenting on. This debate is on the "Limited Atonement" of Jesus Christ which basically says that Jesus did not come to die for everybody but just a few of his chosen people. The Bible says only a few will be saved from hell (Matthew 7:13-29, Mark 10, Romans 9) but most will not understand.

  • "... two bald men arguing over a comb."

  • Gorteenminogue somebody has to argue over the truth of what the Bible says since that is what the Bible itself says to do (Jude 3, 1 Tim 6:12, Phil 1:17, Titus 1:9, Revelation 2:2, 1 Peter 3:15, 1 Thessalonians 5:21, Acts 18:28, etc.). A cursory reading of the Book of Acts & the epistles reveals that a substantial percentage of it deals with a proclaimation of truth in opposition to falsehoods. When combined with the Old Testament & the rest of the NT "arguing" is a must. See BibleQuery org.
