Ota is possibly my favorite foil fencer, maybe not well known as Joppich or Sanzo, but for everything he did during the Olympic tournament, he's become a foilist I enjoy watching (and trying to learn from). He's a gentleman, always clean, never loses his guard and his handwork is really precise and fast

I love the instinct that any foilist has, novice or expert ,to bend their blade almost immediately after a hault.

he had hand pain and foot pain in recent years so to compensate it looks like he is giving himself permanent back pain...
