Was hoping for the extra hard cpu. The combos seem to be better at the beginning; seems like after level 8 you started tiring. I though the Panel de Pon cpu was harder wasn't it? Would have be nice to see better response to block clearings; there were some missed opportunities. Good play through.
Questions! :D How come the chime at the last 2 seconds of countdown are muted? How come the flashing animation from when you first clear blocks, and the switching animations from when you change blocks seem to be skip frequently? Also, how come the computers seem to be unable to perform a good chain? Is it on VERY hard like it SHOULD be, "master?" Finally, how come the frame rate is stuck at 60/60 even though the game clearly isn't running at a smooth pace? Answers please :D
@13uklau Ya rly, First of all, this guy is playing on 'hard'. Second of all, he can't even get past a 10x chain, whereas I can go all the way into the 20's ON SUPER HARD. Plus, WHY would I lie about being better than this guy? I won't gain anything.
@efphraim1 Yeah, but that's most likely because you use the enemies garbage to keep your chain up. Heck, everyone can do that. Try getting a 12x chain or higher in Hard Endless mode. Now THAT is skill.
Also, playing VS on the original SNES is quite easy because the SNES can't handle the more heated VS matches, and will lag like hell...... :/
@Beamswordu Quit assuming shit. I'm talking about endless mode buddy. I don't play Super Hard, it's way too easy. And the rest, your just stating the obvious... the snes lags... yeah yeah. And getting a 12x over chain isn't skill,... getting a 15x chain over IS.
@Beamswordu Just to shut you up, let me clearly state that I can do a 20x chain over on both endless AND VS, or on any other mode there is. Any mode-period.
@efphraim1 Okay, but I still see no reason to bash the guy, or act tough on the internet. Just let him be happy with his achievement. Also, how do you perform a 20x chain in most puzzle mode levels (since you can do it in any mode period)? :o
And thanks for calling everyone who isn't GODLY at this game unskilled. Stop being such a dick, man. :|
Must admit that the AI for this game sucks monkey balls, that's why I only play Pokemon Puzzle Challenge on Intense if I want a challenging CPU.
@Beamswordu When I said "any mode" I was trying to clean up this pointless argument, I was technically trying to seal the fact that I can do what I formerly stated in any mode it's doable in (ie. Endless, Time Trial, Stage Clear, VS). Anyone in the right mind would exclude the puzzle mode.
The title is "Tetris Attack Mastery". This guy claims this is mastery, I am only proving to him that it's not and more can be achieved. Did you even read the other comments? No one thinks this is mastery.
@Beamswordu You're calling me a dick, but you're the one who's going around picking pointless fights with people. I only claimed I can do better, which is suitable for the word "mastery". And you really had to question that. Bah...
Dude this game was fucking epic, Decent combos I was the master of this game when I was like 11-13 lol. My cousins and my bro would get so pissed because I would literlly leave them with 1 square of blocks left. loll
Judging just from the opening play against lakitu, you really need to work on your technical skill. 13x chains are really hard to pull on the 'fast-clearing-blocks' speed, but even so you should be able to easily get 7x+'s constantly.
Also, you stop at really weird times, and miss some really easy chain links (despite having a retardedly fast cursor-speed). My guess is you're cheating, but I don't know.
Anyways, i'm gonna get back to trying to beat my 6:04 "endless" time.
I remember when I used to be this good. Nice job. And yeah, I remember I started to have a bit of a challenge when it got to Raph and higher. That's what made it awesome!
I also remember that nobody would play me on VS mode because I was brutal with chains... even worse when someone could chain me back, I'd just come back at them twice as hard. >:D Love this game so hard.
I use to play this game religiously against three other friends when I was younger on the super nintendo ^^
I had a friend who was about as good as you... he always dropped 26chain combos over top of me like this all the time and just to be a total dick drops a metal one (doesn't have to be a big one, just metal) before starting another 26chain combo, comboing off his blocks didn't seem to help me that much either = ="
this reminds me of last night when i thought it would be amusing to slow down tetris attack with my emulator. i then wondered if i could record a video and then play it at normal speed still using the features on the emulator. and u know i could, actualy it looks just like this video, only diffrence, i didnt put mine online bragging about it. i just thought it was amusing
sorry for double posting i know its a cpu because i go against the highest cpu in vs :D a lot its the same type of combos as bowser do on very hard mode
If he had hacked, he must have used an external one, because with the built-in bot, it won't allow you to see the ending. And I don't think he hacked.
@Sreggaematic09 I don't get it? I play this game on the wii just as good if not better without slowing anything down except i can easily beat it on hardest mode. A lot of people assume that others are using emulators to slow down stuff, but after you play about 30 hours of this game you are going to be really good. I've played at least 100 hours with this game (and others that are similar like pokemon puzzle league)
@Sreggaematic09 no, this is legit, i'll tell you why. he used the R button to raise the blocks so he had more to work with. And it slowed down and stoped because the blocks stop for a breif moment whenever you do a chain or combo and they will continue to stop as long as you stay consistant with the chains. and even if he did, I'm great at this and not even i'm this good, look at all that. So study up before you send hate mail.
You're a very good player, I couldn't do chains that good. But you haven't truly mastered it until you play Super Hard, which is unlocked by highlighting hard, holding the L button and up on the d-pad and pressing A.
I've completed Super Hard, but ut took loads of effort. Here's the password for Super Hard Bowser if you don't believe me:
5PDD4?71
Be warned, the only characters you'll have using this password are Gargantua Blargg and Yoshi.
@Setsotama Planet Puzzle League on the DS is a rerelease of this game, and you can play VS modes over Wifi. Most people were really new at it though, I destroyed pretty much anyone I came across.
That's.....pretty decent. You're pretty slow, tho, and you mess up a LOT of possible chains moving things around too much. Other than that, you're really good. I need to pick back up this game and see if I can still do what I used to and beast Ultra Hard without losing. xD I still love my 5 second Kamek (whatever the witch's name is before bowser) beat. ~.~
lawl It is not that hard, yo. As soon as the round starts, you get a 3 or 4 chain while Kamek is raising his screen. Bam, dead. But that is actually pretty lucky to execute. wow nice... this sounds funny but i'd like to see you go against my parents. they played this game for ten years and with their style they thrived on garbage blocks. they would have rounds that would go on well over the time counter.
me gustaria ver lo que haces con el maximo nivel de este juego pero pues supongo que de todos modos ganarias aunque seria interesante ver esa movilidad contra el bowser de very hard sin embargo tus movimientos son de un exelente jugador
im a big fan of this game. Including "Pokemon Puzzle League","Puyo Puyo", and other just like them... Nice run MDAddict. i liked this game but i had to get use to the after timing of the blocks falling after some dissapper because i was so use to the timeing on "Pokemon Puzzle League". And about the Virtual Console, i would be glad if they had made a game like this and make it where you can verus people over the world like "Planet Puzzle League" for Nintendo DS.
i'm not trying to be a prick or anything, but you can turn the cpu on high and use that, i mean you do it the exact same as the cpu... if that is you though, bravo my friend.
I agree with you. It seemed the player 1 was set to the CPU on high put into the vs. mode. Ive done it myself before and it looked just like this. If this truly is a human player than wow. But Im skeptical.
This is a human player. At 3:29 he tries to grab a yellow block to drop a chain after his purple set, he misses it and has to go back and grab it. A computer wouldn't do that.
i was thinking this at first too but if i remember correctly the CPU doesn't level out the blocks till after the pile is raised. plus they moved the cursor to the bottom before they finished raising. i don't think the CPU did that either.
oh my goooood, i used to be almost as pro as that at this game. my neighbors would fill up the pieces to the top and them throw the controller at me and have me fix it for them lol. me and my mom played alllll the time.
aaah, memories. i hope they release this on the wii virtual console.
This game really isn't that hard to master to be honest. It's just a matter of seeing patterns when you're playing. I'm pretty good at this game, but this guy sees the patterns quicker than I do. Nice job with the undefeated hard mode!
this is good, but not great by any means. def not a master.

And here are some answers!
Bowser most definitly does not get an 8x chain first! More in the 10x range.
The Panel de Pon CPU are a little dumber than Tetris Attack CPU.
The last 2 seconds of the countdown always seems to be muted on emulators.
It is NOT on very hard. When you win a match (or select a character to go against Bowser's henchmen) the screen is pink. Very hard is RED. Not pink.
The only sequel we got, was Pokemon Puzzle League.

wow nice... this sounds funny but i'd like to see you go against my parents. they played this game for ten years and with their style they thrived on garbage blocks. they would have rounds that would go on well over the time counter.
good vid

me gustaria ver lo que haces con el maximo nivel de este juego pero pues supongo que de todos modos ganarias aunque seria interesante ver esa movilidad contra el bowser de very hard sin embargo tus movimientos son de un exelente jugador

im a big fan of this game.

Would somebody please explain what is going on at 5:02? Is that really possible? Shouldn't the blocks on the left have dropped?
dustyb0tt0ms 2 years ago
the garbage blocks stay since there is one block under it

i wouldn't call it "mastery".. my usual chain-length is higher than this guy's and i'm still miles away from being anywhere near mastery or pro.
just look at all those insane players who do 20x chains (or even longer ones).

i'm not trying to be a prick or anything, but you can turn the cpu on high and use that, i mean you do it the exact same as the cpu... if that is you though, bravo my friend.
shadowangel7152 2 years ago
To shadowangel7152,
I agree with you. It seemed the player 1 was set to the CPU on high put into the vs. mode. Ive done it myself before and it looked just like this. If this truly is a human player than wow. But Im skeptical.
dynamicwolf 2 years ago
This is a human player. At 3:29 he tries to grab a yellow block to drop a chain after his purple set, he misses it and has to go back and grab it. A computer wouldn't do that.
Katsumotosamurai 2 years ago
i was thinking this at first too but if i remember correctly the CPU doesn't level out the blocks till after the pile is raised. plus they moved the cursor to the bottom before they finished raising. i don't think the CPU did that either.
thinkmurphy 2 years ago
this is about how good I am at this game. I can still beat extra hard without continuing
mischiefpwns 2 years ago
oh my goooood, i used to be almost as pro as that at this game. my neighbors would fill up the pieces to the top and them throw the controller at me and have me fix it for them lol. me and my mom played alllll the time.
aaah, memories. i hope they release this on the wii virtual console.

THAT'S AMAZING!!!
Congrats Man!!

This game really isn't that hard to master to be honest. It's just a matter of seeing patterns when you're playing. I'm pretty good at this game, but this guy sees the patterns quicker than I do. Nice job with the undefeated hard mode!

Aww, don't be jealous if you didn't have this level of skill. I could do the same thing back when I played it. And yes, there is a level beyond hard.
