When it comes to male vocals I normaly prefer powermetal (never listened to dragonforce before tho), bands like Dragonland and Sabaton. I also really like the lyrics that they play to, much preferable to the pop bands that sing about "life" expereinces.

If I got out of powermetal to something like gothic metal I always like female vocals (Xandria and Magica and the like).

I think the only band that I listen to that growls would be folk metal bands like Elvenking and Elvitua (misspelt).
