Mick plays a Hohner XB-40 in the video, but calls it a blues harp when asked by the presenter, which isn't strictly true. A little 10 hole harmonica only has 20 reeds, whereas the beast, the XB-40 has 40 reeds! You can bend all the notes, which harmonica players only used to dream of. So they learnt to overblow, the first example being Blues Birdhead's Mean Low Blues. But the Love Box Bucks the Trend and tries to play without overblowing as you can't get the rhythm chords.
I think that sounds great!
I'm Jack.
Is the mic right on the harmonica?
Is that just like a blues Horner harmonica or is it tuned different like?
