  • Bob is so fucking real. Probably the most easily relatable artist on the planet.

  • Bob. Seger. You. Are. The. Fucking. Man. Period.

  • ROCK ON BOB ROCK ON

  • omg that must have been awesome to be there in person

  • Great music. Classic for sure.

  • I just totally love this song.... can listen to it over & over again... thx Bob for the wonderful music...

  • Bob Seger was as real as it got, straight up blue-eyed soul. He dominated the airwaves through the late 70's with his music, The Eagles did as well, but it took a band like the Eagles to match what Bob was conquering all by himself as a solo artist, the man had hit after hit!....

  • 1978.... thank you for the time machine

  • Comment removed

  • memories...

  • lucky one

  • I was there!!!

  • @echoflash51 it must've been amazing!

  • ohhhhhhhhhh how i n love this thank you

  • This is the best video I have ever seen of Bob in his prime. Am I wrong or was this video used around '78 promoting SIT?

  • 3 people are not like the others

  • man! this is good stuff!!!! thanks uploader! is there a full concert release of this?

  • @teamsleep777 not that i know of, unfortunately.

  • @teamsleep777 correction! I found a seemingly bootleg dvd named "Face The Promise." It doesn't seem to carry whole concert as you wanted but it has Still The Same and Hollywood Nights live. According to the DVD, the live was in San Diego '78.

  • Ok so here's an idea......RELEASE THIS WHOLE DAMN CONCERT ON DVD!!!! sorry....had to get that out

  • @LDB1242 I second this.

  • @LDB1242 Amen, brother. It is beyond frustrating that we have such little footage available of Seger in the 70's and early 80's.

  • @shyman99 agreed.

  • There shouldn't be a dislike button on this video. Period

  • @jeffo2448 interesting -- and perhaps accurate -- i tend to list seger amongst my least favorite artists over the past 30+ years, but 'still the same' as one of my favorite songs. go figure.

we'll agree that he has his moment(s)?

  • Who is the women in the pink one piece singing in the background?

  • This is a nice song , I love it ... Even in Mexico we lovet it ..... I have who was born in the same place of bob segre ... well my friend lives in Arizona ...

  • Part of the fabric of America a voice that is second to none along with substantial writing talent. As famous as he is he still deserves even more respect and notoriety than he already has. Certainly one of the great musicians of our time. Thanks for posting this excellent quality vid from 33 years ago!

  • this whole concert is great.segers amazing live.thanks for sharing

  • This video is actually from 1980. It was from the Boston concert on the Nine Tonight CD.

  • Have to disagree with you, Segers hair was MUCH shorter in 1980 this is from 78 - not sure where but NOT 1980. I have pics from Cobo Hall that shows the shorter hair and if you look at the album you will see what I am talking about. Also, this song does not appear on 9 tonight

  • Also, why would the crowd be holding a sign about Bob not being a stranger in this town?

  • @sibs4life This isn't from 1980 it's from 1978 during the Stranger in Town tour, and this song never made it on the Nine Tonight CD. Plus Seger's hair was a little bit shorter during the Against the Wind tour. So hate to break it but u are mistaken.

  • Simple ....... Bob Seger!!!

  • this song is honestly amazing. the first time i heard it i fell in love. it has such a great rhythm and feel to it. bob seger is one great and unforgettable artist :)

  • My God, he's so good. I can honestly say I get choked up every time I hear this.

  • more people my age should listen to this music

  • Quality.

  • Clearly, one of the most talented singer EVER!!

  • Thanks for the post! Luckily he was one of the artists I grew up with! Saw him on many occasions, and his music still moves me! Hats off to the "Ramblin', Gamblin' Man!

  • I'm 54, and saw Seger on "The Distance Tour" in 1981 I believe, at the L.A. Coliseum. Still have the t-shirt with a pink 56 T-Bird on it . (doesn't fit too good anymore, though)... what a great show. Thanks for the memories!

  • he is a great talent...thats for sure...never get sick of his amazing voice...

  • If anyone can find an old interview Seger did with Bob Costas in the early '90's on Costas' late night talk show 'Later with Bob Costas' there is a FANTASTIC story Bob Costas tells Bob Seger about his father who, no matter how hard he tried, could never shake a terrible gambling addiction, and how years later, after he had died, in a dream, he was walking through a casino on from a distance saw his father at a table crying while in the background 'Still The Same' was playing.

  • @joediver1119 it is like a drama.

  • thanx for da memories buddy i remember having the album thanx again from quebec city

  • LOVE THIS POST THANK YOU GUNSTAR1701 LOVE THE SMILE AT 1:40..JUST ENJOYMENT...PURE ENJOYMENT...

  • @lyric520 Oh, I do too!! He's so cool and sexy!!

  • @crazylpn1 oh yes he is......

  • This song brings me back to where I was a lot younger and in the first several years of my marriage. Days that were different but perhaps happier than now (well, I was in my mid 20s, I believe). Always loved this song and wanted to see Seger in concert but never had the chance. This is a great vid you have. Thanks. Look forward seeing some of your others.

  • One of the best ATL concerts I've ever attended at the Omni!

  • The music, the lyrics, and the just plain fun he's having playing..It doesn't get better than this.

  • 'O' for Awesome man 100%

  • really gets your fingers playing and you singing

  • Sure would love to have a copy of this vid! Sure love this man's work.

  • There are a few songs, old songs, that just give you that weird feeling, its a good one, inside that make you love them. This is one of them for me, even though it pertains to nothing about me, it just gets to me. <3

  • Is this concert on DVD or something? Great version of a fantastic song, thanks for posting.

  • such a perfectly unique voice

  • This is by far the highest quality live performance on YouTube and I'm retired from the music business. This man needs to release a quality DVD. I Know he has live footage somewhere because he's toured for 40 years!

  • EVERYTIME THEY WHERE SURE THEY HAD YOU CAUGHT YOU WHERE QUICKER THAN THEY TAUGHT YOU JUST TURNED YOUR BACK AND WALKED

  • AWSOME. I am 17 years old and I love this song!

  • Thank you, sokion, brings back good memories. I think we had the Best music in those years. Have a nice day!

  • Fantastic. Memories brought back. I love this song. radio should play it more.

  • i was only 7 yrs old hahh , i really love it xxxxxx

  • he was my first concert I went to, I was sixteen back in 77

  • Thanks so much for this emotionally listening is the way to put it for sure

  • It's almost eerie how good this is. Anytime I hear these performances it's hard not to get choked up. This video is a classic example. Touches my heart man. I don't know how Seger does it. He hits that chord inside me that no other song writer hits. Whoever posted this you have made this man's day.

  • Was this not from his " Against The Wind Tour 1980" along with "Hollywood Nights" they were broadcast on British T.V.s Old Grey Whistle Test. >>There is a bootleg tape/dvd one has a machine drone in the background, the other processed by silver stallion is better but high treble, not this quality.Saw him at Wembley 1980 bought the T shirt and appropriated a 4x3 poster on the way out, still have it,and the memory, spent £200 to get there ,worth every penny.

  • No music reaches right into my soul the way this song and "Hollywood Nights" does. I get emotional hearing them. Thanks for this lovely live performance.

  • @Gunstar1701 Don't mention it! It's my pleasure to share this experience with somebody who can "emotionally hearing" them.

  • Man, where can I buy this DVD! I didn't think there was any decent video of Segar during this time. His prime? I think so. Awesome. I tell you, I've been waitin' for the next Segar, the next David Lee Roth......etc. as more time goes by, you realize that these guys are irreplaceable one of a kind artists.

  • Awesome....

  • only the best

  • your the king bob

  • my sentiments as well kind of sad here i am 43 years old remember this tune from my earlier years teens and thought back then if i heard this when im older it might spook me a bit i would be grateful to have reached my older years scared at how quick they went by and did they ever fly if you are young and reading this enjoy it while it lasts because your forties are just a blink of the eye away literally a blink of the eye

  • Guys, this is totally awesome. Iam 48 years old and have been listening to Seger since i was probobly 15 .. The mans got talent for sure. I have seen alot of superstars in concert "live in person in Fayetteville,NC back in the day" so to speak" but never got to see Mr. Bob !!!!! D-san,, Class of 1981....

  • Anyone find a 1977 live show with the Silver Bullet Band?

  • Love me some Bob Seger

  • Bob Seger is the most talented artist ever to have walked this earth. I don't care how much recognition he has gotten, he is still the most underrated artist of all time

  • I'm 32 and a native Detroiter. I don't know anyone my age from back home that didn't grow up with alot of Seger in the house. Uncle Bob rocks the party!

Live Bullet is the most underrated album of all time. No question.
