How can a company out for profit do anything other than favor itself? It's against the very nature of any monetary market to favor and promote your competition. If I own a store, and someone asks me about a lamp, and I tell them they can get a better lamp at the shop down the street, I lose money. You can't hate Google for thriving within the system. You can hate the system, sure, but Google is just a byproduct of it like any other goods/services provider.

basically what people are saying here is "die google die". Google is basically the common enemy of all tech company because of their sheer size and services that it offers [for free]. Don't like google search? go to yahoo, bing, and aol and tell me if you're getting better result there. Bing is doing this exact same thing with Facebook. Google has to come up with something of their own now or its going to be too late. Google is #1 in search now but so was Yahoo. Nothing is forever.

facebook refused to open up its index to google's search engine .So how can google properly partner with facebook or twitter. Bing wanted to capitalize on the information from facebook in order to gain market share and Google instead developed its own social media and integrated it to search engine making g+ a far superior social medium than both facebook and twitter combined. Facebook limited us to old friends , twitter limited us to 150 words and g+ opened up the entire world..
