Future musicians take note, Here we have a classic example of the momentum of an album being murdered. Amazing opening songs like Come Together and Something being followed up by a dud like Maxwell's Silver Hammer...

@Haqster is that a joke. seriously? maxwells silver hammer is a great song. while it may not be the best song, it is far from a "dud" most bands would be lucky to have a song of that calliber on any album

McCartney said in 1994 that it merely epitomizes the downfalls of life "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" is my analogy for when something goes wrong out of the blue, as it so often does, as I was beginning to find out at that time in my life. I wanted something symbolic of that, so to me it was some fictitious character called Maxwell with a silver hammer. I don't know why it was silver, it just sounded better. We still use that expression now when something unexpected happens.

I love the Beatles soooo much!! Doo doo doo doo doo - they are my darlings!! It's a magical mystery how they can snap me out of a blue sad place like a zap from heaven. Their music is so chock full of layers and soul. What would my life have been without them?? Can't imagine.

I think youtube is downgrading the sound quality on these remasters dramatically. I am comparing it with the versions I already have on my PC, and the ones I already have sound a lot better than the high quality ones that you have posted.

I am listening through a pair of sennheisers too, and this youtube version has a distinct fuzz to it - while the ones I have do not and sound a lot clearer. I'll just have to get these for myself... youtube doesn't do 'em justice.

of course i have, but how do you know this is real? I have the regular cd and the remastered one and this sounds more like the regular cd. Maybe it's just youtube when you upload that downgrades the quality.

I have to say of the stuff I've heard online so far, the biggest difference in sound quality seems to be the Abbey Road album! This is really sounding great - so much separation in sound and Paul's bass really shines through!

@3zy Beatles are only to be played on Vinyl. :-) The media in which it was produced and intended for. Remember my dad had this record. Think I better go to the shops and get my own copy today. The songs just have a warmth and intensity you don't hear in records nowadays.

so your essentially encouraging people to buy something they may or may not like, because somehow, the sheer gall of listening to a song on youtube will cause someone not to buy an album? By that virtue, we should shut down vh1, mtv, napster, get rid of the itunes previews, youtube, pandora and any all services that allow you to listen to beatles albums or music for that matter, and get rid of radio.
