  • "Reverse" takes some license - as figures of speech do - but it's not a huge stretch. Clinical studies going back 40 years show that while on a high-complex carb, high-fiber, low glycemic index, low-fat, whole foods-based, plant-based diet, the body moves toward acting like diabetes is absent. In essence, it has been reversed: the pancreas produces insulin, it is released normally, blood sugar levels approach normal, etc. The most recent studies were at George Washington University.

  • Oh, by the way, the "study" that Dr.Hyman refers to is an extremely-calorie-restrictive 600 calorie a day diet.

Yup, 600 calories a day. 1/3rd what most professionals would consider "starvation diet" for an obese person.

Also, if you look at the macronutrient intake of the shake they used, they were technically simply on a LOW CARB DIET.

  • @truth2748... I don't know about studies..I just know about my personal results... I want raw vegan 5 months ago...a1c went from 12 to 5.7..fbs from 350 to 120 and weight from 305 to 345...I don't need a study to tell me it works...no more insulin shots and no more pills..just raw fruits, veggies and seeds and nuts..in that order:)

  • @bag22nwa702 typo weight went from 305 to 245

  • @bag22nwa702 yeah, right... You're the exception then, NOT the rule.

I have spoken to literally HUNDREDS of Type II diabetics who could not control it with a vegan diet, so the fact that you could is quite astounding, and will not be the norm.

I imagine you could actually get it to normal healthy levels if you increased healthy fats and lowered your carbohydrate intake.

  • Also, read what natural news has to say about the ADA: naturalnews*com/021183.html

The ADA has a clear conflict of interest. Their guidelines for both diet and glycemic control are outdated and the "laughing stock" of qualified experts in nutrition.

Compare their guidelines for glycemic control to that of the IDF (Intl. Diabetes Federation) or the AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) to see.

The ADA recommendations for glycemic control are actually killing people.

  • Search any of these studies:

Journal of Nutrition & Metabolism: Effects of a low-carbohydrate diet on glycemic control in outpatient

New England Journal of Medicine: A Low-Carbohydrate as Compared with a Low-Fat Diet in Severe Obesity

Annals of Internal Medicine: The Effects of Low-Carbohydrate versus Conventional Weight Loss Diets in Severely Obese Adults

Journal of Nutrition & Metabolism: The effect of a low-carbohydrate, ketogenic diet versus a low-glycemic index diet on glycemic control

  • BTW if you think the American Diabetes Association is interested in helping diabetics, you're clueless.

The ADA is primarily funded by PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES. Over 30,000,000 dollars a year. Their second source of funding? Processed food companies.

All of the ADA's recommendations will keep diabetics on drugs. This is what the ADA wants.

  • Quick FYI truth2748 - I *AM* a type 2 diabetic. I gave the vegan diet a fair try. It did NOT lower my glucose adequately, whereas LCHF did for me. I eat lots of healthy raw / steamed veggies now, much more than I did prior to my diagnosis.

The truth is tens of thousands of diabetics have gotten their sugars under excellent control using LCHF - most Type 2's that try vegan cannot get their sugars in healthy targets. The problem is most doctors don't understand "healthy targets"

  • @LCHFinCanada FYI, Veganism is not a diet per say. To fail at such a simple task, is not something I would openly brag about. "A Vegan eating pattern is a healthy option, even if you have diabetes. Research supports that following this type of diet can help prevent and manage diabetes". The American Diabetes Association-web site.

  • @truth2748 and what is this simple task you claim I failed at?

Research shows no such thing. All the research ALL OF IT shows low-carb diets are vastly superior to low-fat or vegan diets for glycemic control.

Show me ONE RCT that shows otherwise. ONE. I can link you to dozens that prove my case.

  • Can a vegan diet HELP diabetes? Sure, because a true vegan diet also eliminates refined/processed carbohydrates and sugars, and most people that adopt one start exercising.

When you eliminate refined/processed carbs/sugars from your diet, and start exercising... how do you think the result is from eliminating meat? really...

It's called a confounding variable, and vegan doctor NEVER account for it in their research.

  • The body will heal itself if we give it what it needs to do it God made it like that!

  • @theradicalrachel It cant be reversed.

  • Do as y'all wish, but red meat has conclusively been linked to many ailments that plague people's health. Cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's, liver/kidney breakdown, various forms of cancer... Adding a more natural, whole food selection into a diet does nothing but benefit the health. Fact... This isn't a political push, tree hugging tactic, or alien/foreign ideology. Health 101. Trust.

  • yeah eating more vegies as raw as possible is the way too go (everything we buy from the shop is processed

  • You can't reverse type 2 diabeties at all. You can keep your blood sugar normal by limiting carbs in your diet. There's no way to reverse it tho its a disease which is with you forever. Also meat and animal products doesn't cause diabeties in the first place. Its sugar and carbs and all that process crap which makes ya fat.

  • @lovebigboobs29 Its actually the fat in your diet that inhibits gluclose absorbtion..diabetics can eat all the fruit they want. I agree with the processed crap but it's the high fat intake not the carbs.

  • @newtofruit this is completely untrue and shows no understanding of the metabolic condition that diabetes is.

  • 1.5 years vegan, 80 lbs lost, and---this is important, unbelievers: HbA1c from 15 (!!!) to 5.3! My bloodwork is perfect all around. @lovebigboobs29, my own physicians are blown away by my results and are now advocating a vegan diet to their own patients who are also benefiting from a plant-based diet.

  • @TasiaBrooklyn EXACTLY!

  • Plant-based diet in six weeks, my weight from 191 to 174, my glucose level from 200 down to 104, so I discarded Metfornin type 2 diabetic medication a week ago. Believe or not, my weight is still falling down even I stuff super foods as advocated by Dr. Joe Fuhrman eat for health. Dr. Neal Barnard gives strong messages that plant based diet is the way to go, based on the scientific research and methodologies. I feel my life turns around.

  • He is good western medicine doctor M.D. A lot of M.D.s don't care, they just want to keep us sick and on drugs so they get a commission from the evil pharmaceutical companies. They profit of of our illness. This how they keep their business going. Shame on our so called trusted M.d.s only a few want to help us.

  • This is about HEALING ourselves...Not fighting. The proof is right here. I wish that more doctors would suggest this instead of signing those prescriptions slips I am posting this on my facebook wall and I hope my family memebesr that only trust doctors and tv will watch it! I lost my mother five years ago of a heart attack and I wish I knew then what I know now!

  • @itslea84 Meat nor animal products causes diabeties. Diabeties is treatable but not reversable. Limit carbs and yes you usually needs meds to keep it at bay. Alot of it is genetic.

  • paleo diet reverses type two also. so whats the point.

  • Go Veggie, Go Vegan watch?v=ms7yoerGaPU

  • when you are having a heart attack at a young age you will whisle a different tune and if you are lucky enough to have people who care they will bear the expences or better yet our gov. will great another carnavore on lifesupport with a poop bag at age 42

  • This video is full of crap.

  • A type 2 diabetic can do just a well with a high protein high fat diet that excludes carbohydrates. It's called ketosis. When your blood sugar gets low, your liver converts glycogen to glucose to maintain blood sugar levels. When the glycogen runs out, the body starts burning fat as its primary energy source. I've been type 2 for 3 years, and excluding carbs from my diet has been worked best for me. I have to drink protein shakes to maintain weight.

  • That's bullshit. There is NO WAY to reverse or cure type 2 diabetes. Once your body becomes insulin resistant it will ALWAYS be insulin resistant. That's a FACT. It can't be undone. It doesn't matter worth a damn whether food is cooked or whether it is meat or fruits and vegetables. If you eat sugar and short chain carbs, you're blood sugar will rise. You're body can no longer use insulin effeciently to metabolize glucose. Anyone who tells you differently is selling something.

  • @gurumagoo How can you say this is bullshit when people are doing it all the time?

watch revising diabeties in 30 days..Dr.Neal Barnard does it all the time.

  • @newtofruit Excuse me? LOL!!! I think you're a little confused. I'll repeat myself: There is NO WAY to reverse Type 2 Diabetes. Insulin resistance is FOREVER. At present, there is no known way it can be undone. There is NO CURE. Period. What part of that statement do you not understand? It is a medical FACT. If you don't like it....too bad. This isn't about the merits of veganism; it's about your lack of willingness to accept reality. Opinion doesn't count for shit.

  • @newtofruit Neal Barnard has admitted the BEST result he got "reversing" diabetes was taking an A1c down to 7.1% ... that's STILL quite a diabetic reading, averaging a blood glucose level of 175 mg/dl, very unhealthy.

Following low-carb advice of Dr. Richard K. Bernstein gets people into the low 5% and 4% range.

  • @gurumagoo - The only fact is that your unhealthy lifestyle has caused your diabetes and now you're trying to keep under control by keeping your unhealthy lifestyle. If you're too lazy to adopt a vegan diet, then just keep popping pills and believe everything your "doctor" tells you!

  • @mofofosho13 vegan diet doesn't work for everyone. Heck, according to Neal Barnards vegan PCRM research, it doesn't work for ANYONE. Read his research. His "reversal" was taking people from an HbA1c of 8.05 average to 7.71 average. That's barely any change. And that's over 74 weeks.

Vegan diet for glycemic control is laughable.

The truth is that trials show low-carb is better than low-fat. Low-carb diets improve glycemic control as much as medication, even insulin...

  • @LCHFinCanada Don't waste your time. Your argument is way too rational and fact based for these folks to handle. They believe this crap because they want to; not because a logical and fact based argument brought them to a logical conclustion. It suits and reinforces their lifestyle and socio-political views.

  • Actually, I've always had good eating habits. I've also always been very physically active (I'm a Marine Infantryman). It's almost a forgone conclusion that my level of phyical fitness far exceeds your own. There is no one definitive cause of diabetes. It can be brought on by many things or even a combination of things such as stress. The fact that diabetes is irreversible is scientifically indisputable. If you say otherwise you are either stupid, ignorant, or both.

  • @gurumagoo - If you were in the Marines then your nutritional habits were awful. I am not a god fearing christian, I believe in science and nutrition is a part of science. You are confusing type 2 diabetes with type 1 diabetes. Type 2 is completely avoidable and also reversible. Do some research instead of believing doctors paid by big pharm - you'll be surprised what you can learn. "New Research Finds Diabetes Can Be Reversed, Mark Hyman, MD"

  • @mofofosho13 Funny, but I don't feel very confused. In fact, I know exactly what Type 2 Diabetes is, seeing as I've had it for a few years now. Type 1 diabetes is characterized by the lack of insulin producing Beta cells in the pancreas. Type 2 is characterized by the cellular inability to respond to insulin through insulin resistance. You really are an ignorant fool aren't you. Hyman is a well-known unscientific quack and you are just an ignorant hippie.

  • @mofofosho13 All you can do is preach the benefits of a diabetes control diet that suits your dogmatic hippie beliefs. You claim it "reverses" diabetes when in fact, those benefits disapear when one quits the diet. That's because TYPE 2 DIABETES CANNOT BE CURED. It can only be controlled. Don't talk to me about science. You aren't even remotely qualified to discuss this in an intelligent fashion because you are uneducated and gullible. Why don't you go tune your chakras or something

  • Comment removed

  • This myth is absolute shit. You cannot "no longer" have diabetes. Diabetes is a permanent, progressive disease. The best diets and exercises help you to better CONTROL it, not CURE it.

We don't have a miracle solution to completely eliminate diabetes any more than we do HIV/AIDS. As you age, diabetes can be worsened if you don't care for yourself. This doctor suggests great diet choices, but the newscaster is misguided.

  • what if u dont go dairy free, is dairy also hard to digest ?

  • @maciejwrotek Yes, dairy milk is extremely dangerous for humans. Just think about it, animals in the wild don't drink other creatures milk, and certainly not animals 10x their size. Good luck! <3 Go vegan!

  • @OctyB Dairy and meat are healthy actually. Screw going vegan.

  • @OctyB Dairy and meat are healthy actually. Screw going vegan.

  • @OctyB Actually dairy is healthy for us. Quite the opposite of what you said. We aren't animals nor in the wild so who gives a rats ass what they drink. Dairy is healthy for us.

  • @lovebigboobs29 lmfao in your freaking dreams milk is good for you. I'm a Nutritionist Mr. I love big boobs. Yes, you'll have big boobs if you keep drinking milk!

  • @OctyB Then you're not a very good one. I have talked to a few nutritionlists and they say quite the opposite.

  • @OctyB how healthy are the nomadic people who herd? the ones in Mongolia, Africa, and such?

  • @lovebigboobs29 We are animals. Its been proven time and time again that Milk is NOT for humans we have no need for dairy

  • @lovebigboobs29 Good lord you have issues. Dairy is healthy for us? Dairy is healthy for babies. No adult animal is supposed to drink milk. It is no coincidence that those countries with the highest dairy intake have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Go read the China Study before spouting more nonsense.

  • @shumila I am not an animal so therefore your point is invalid. The china study is a bullshit book.

  • @lovebigboobs29 I love your sarcasm about not being an animal, it is sarcasm right? For your own sake, I hope so.

  • @truth2748 No its the truth. We are above animals.

  • @maciejwrotek Dairy as well as meat and other animal products is easy to digest just like anything else. Its also healthy for us and so is meat.

  • finally doctor that is human

  • insuline dependent diabetes is type 1 diabetes

  • Just the usual Vegan propaganda. No hard science whatsoever to back this up, just lies, anecdotal evidence and BS propaganda from Animal Rights front organizations like the PCRM.

  • @NiceGuyCody We must stop them before they convince some people not to eat meat, because then, the World will be over. Their propagandist commercials are all over TV, I can't take it anymore. If I see another Vegan commercial in main stream TV I'm going to puke. I'm sick and tired, everywhere I look TV, radio, the mall, Vegan propaganda. They're everywhere. They tell you what to wear, what to eat, what to buy, their greed is immeasurable, and all just to save animals, what evil!.

  • @truth2748 you will probably end up with type two diabetes then you will either whistle a different tune or die a painful death just like a smoker who refuses to quit

  • @cheddar1607 Actually you wont die just because you have diabeties. The meds work well.

  • @cheddar1607 You wont diet a horrible death with type 2 diabeties. Keep your blood sugar normal most the time and you will live as healthy as someone without diabeties.

  • @truth2748 your're an idiot, this is a doctor talking not a vegan animal rights activist. veganism is not just about saving animals which u r obviously prejudice towards. veganism means ethical in terms of environmental and human rights as well.

  • @cafeaulait69 No you're the dense one here, had you looked into my page you would have seen what I'm all about. I am a Jaina practicing a form of Veganism for now over 39 years. It was all sarcasm and really easy to see, since other Vegans have responded with laughter.

  • @truth2748 Truth it was not clear you were being sarcastic.

Realize Cafeaulait's response was not to the individual you are. His response was to the individual who you portrayed. So you shouldn't be offended. Understand his response was to a nut job and reacted passionately. He did nothing wrong.

And btw, I am in awe over your 39+ years veganism.

  • @TheVeganHere "Truth it was not clear you were being sarcastic." You've got to be kidding, right?. But there a no an-ti meat commercials on main stream television in Europe or the States. So I thought that might have given it away to anyone that has a TV set. Never mind my other outrageous claims about Vegan propaganda. Sigh.

  • @truth2748 Im not going to lie I wasnt sure if you were being sarcastic or not

  • @cafeaulait69 My human right is the right to eat meat!

  • @cafeaulait69 There's nothing unethical about consuming meat nor animal products. This so-called doctor is just an idiot. Bet the vegans are paying him a pretty penny to lie. The environment will be fine and human rights?? LOL as a human I have the right to eat whatever the fuck I want. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies with my meat.

  • @truth2748 how about all the pro meat propaganda, don't hear you complaining against this. you are no more superior than any other species, HUMANS ARE ANIMALS

  • @cafeaulait69 I'm sorry you didn't read into all that sarcasm. I was mocking a beef head.

  • @truth2748 I have never seen a vegan commercial where I live. Even if I did I would know its a ignorant lifestyle and that eating meat is superior!

  • @terrillcase Youtube nation is so depressing, IS THERE ANY INTELLIGENT LIFE IN THIS GOD FORSAKEN PLACE? ANYONE? PLEASE?

  • @truth2748 LOL I am not depressed. Quite the opposite

  • @truth2748 You have a point, check out this video and see what you think. Its narrated by a famous hollywood actor

  • @terrillcase Right, just because you don't see something means it's "igrnorant." If meat is superior, why did this people reverse their diseases? Why have my diseases reversed? I lost over 100 pounds. I look younger and feel younger. Think about your body. How do you want to feel in 10 years?

  • @SandCmpbll Those people didn't reverse anything. They lost weight because of lack of food and its been keeping their blood sugar at bay. They could have done that and kept meat in their diets. Its common sense.

  • @truth2748 People please, it was sarcasm, is in it clear that what I said is irrefutably exactly the opposite?

  • Really?

  • yes

  • LOL! Black Doctor!

  • From the book: The ANSWER

It’s also occurred to Ztingar that cows, sheep and horses only

eat grass to survive and are among the most peaceful animals on

Earth. “How come they’ve always been treated so badly, he asks

himself, “cuz we humans not only eat ‘em, but drag ‘em into wars

‘n’ even make ‘em work ‘til they drop sometimes. Maybe instead o’

killin’ other creatures to survive, part of our journey on Earth is to

evolve ‘n’ find more peaceful ways to get our food?”

  • This is a great clip i myself am vegetarian and 9 times out of ten my meal are vegan. Speaking from my own experience i feel healthier than every before. There is a myth that if you dont eat meat the only things you are left with are carrots lettuce and lentil's just to name a few things people have said to me even if that was the case there no going back. Thank you Dr Montgomery I have posted your clip on my website for all my visitors to see.

  • Good video - I am a hardcore meat eater and I want to stop eating such and go vegan. Of my friends who are vegans they are healthy , my meat eating friends are starting to have bypasses and developing diabetes , like I did- I have type two and it's no fun.

  • @billoakesattablthree Go for it! My best to you! Vegetarianism/veganism is one of the very best things I've ever done. No more allergies.

It helps the animals a lot too, you know.

    Good luck.

  • @Christlovesanimals

"It helps the animals a lot too, you know."

No it doesn't. More animals are killed by the pesticides, shooting, trapping, threshing, poisoning ETC ETC ETC that are required to raise, cultivate and transport crops than the one cow that died for my steak.

You, like all vegans, are just a delusional narcissistic liar.

  • @NiceGuyCody Like all stupidass pompous idiotically rationalizing fucktards, you're a stupidass pompous idiotically rationalizing fucktard...

  • @NiceGuyCody "More animals are killed by the pesticides, shooting, trapping, threshing, poisoning ETC ETC ETC that are required to raise, cultivate and transport crops than the one cow that died for my steak."

Wow that is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard.

You obviously have an agenda of your own. And that agenda is to

to eat and do as you like regardless of the ethical consequences.

I feel sad for you. :-(

  • vegan ftw! Brown rice + beans + lettuce wraps + tomatoes are the new double doubles.

  • @jbrah69 Add some chicken then it would be a meal i'd eat.

  • I'll be starting this diet asap!

  • This diet is for REAL!!!! The American Diet is killing U.S.all....Plants are the way to go!!!

  • @Rod1stiffington The american diet isn't killing no one. Junk food and over-eating is.

  • She been on that stuff since 1987, yet it only takes 3 days to get off that stuff once she goes on a vegan diet, now that is a Miracle!!! Vegan Power!

  • The truth will prevail! A vegan diet is spiritually and physically healthy, natural and normal! It is the diet we were created to have.

  • @Godscre1 We were created to have an omnivore diet not a vegan diet. Get your facts straight.

  • @lovebigboobs29 We actually orignated from the Tropics and a fruit based diet.

  • @newtofruit No we didn't.

  • @newtofruit then please tell me where did the human species orginate?

  • @Godscre1 who will tell Eskimos that?

  • @kuwaizair Eskimos had a very unhealthy diet and has been proven so

  • @newtofruit proven by whom, when?

  • @Godscre1 No the diet we were created to have is a diet with both meat and plants. Plus you can't reverse any diabeties. You have it for life and its from too much sugary substances and carbs not meat.

  • @lovebigboobs29 What is it that you do for a living?

  • @newtofruit I work in an insurance firm. My wife is a registered nurse.

  • @lovebigboobs29 My mother is a RN and knows absolutely nothing about nutrition I don't that you have any place telling a Cardiologist that he is wrong or that Dr. Neal Barnard, Dr.Mcdougall, Dr. Esselstyn, Dr. Dean Ornish and countless others out there wrong.

  • @newtofruit My wife purposely took nutrition classes. I can say they are wrong. They are wrong. They arfe vegans trying to bullshit everyone from eating animals.

  • @newtofruit vegans keep bringing these same doctors up, even though they are constantly discredited, and thousands of other doctors state that they're QUACKS. Hundreds of thousands of doctors and all current teaching hospitals disagree with them.

    So does science.

They've yet to prove anything with their misleading studies and books of lies.

  • @AlbertaBeefy PCRM(Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine), AAP(American Academy of Pediatrics), ADA(American Dietetic Association), CDA (Canadian Dietetic Association), WHO(World Health Organization) and countless other reputable organizations agree that well-planned vegetarian and vegan eating patterns are healthy. Then again, among our medical communities this IS common knowledge, obviously this information is yet to reach youtubers.

  • @truth2748 PCRM is a vegan-promotion organization of which under 5% of members are physicians. ADA/CDA are controlled by agribusiness (that's where their money comes from) and although they've said it can be healthy, their reports contain several pages showing why it's not, as well, and what must be done for it to be healthy.

The WHO does not recommend a vegan diet anywhere on their website or their literature that I can find. Please show me where they do if you can, because I can't find it.

  • @truth2748 also, only the PCRM (which again, is a peta-funded vegan-promotion agency, nothing more) is the only one of the agencies you mention that claims vegan is healthier than non-vegan balanced diet.

  • @AlbertaBeefy "The PCRM is PETA funded and under 5% of members are physicians". There is no need to continue this conversation.

  • @truth2748 Not sure what you mean by that - that's a known truth about the PCRM.

Apparently he knows it, and so do I. Wikipedia is currently claiming 7.5% of their members are physicans... But other resources claim 5% ...

Out of curiousity, which part of his statement do you challenge?

  • @LCHFinCanada Aaaah, wikipedia, case closed then.

  • @truth2748 wikipedia what?

You need to spend some time looking at low-carb trials for glycemic control on pubmed before typing things that make you look stupid. Because right now, you look stupid.

  • @truth2748 oh, the PCRM? That's their OWN stat, roflmao.

Or can't you figure that out? It's truly amazing how may ignorant vegans there are, blinded by the dogma, unable to look at the truth...

    Your brainwashed, plain and simple.

  • @lovebigboobs29 I see you constantly repeating this...but your completely wrong, Keep eating your meat and dairy and promoting the death of millions of animals and the deforestation of the rain forest, global warming, extinction of many animal and countries that are starving.

  • @newtofruit I will continues eating it. Thanks :)

  • @newtofruit you realize more rainforest is destroyed by corporations planting SOY than ranchers, right?

    :)

  • Very informative video. Thanks!

  • I think Paleo eating works best. But the eating as close to the natural state is a good idea.

  • Well its about damn time.

  • Meat is poison.

  • great video!

  • Awesome video! People should pay attention to this guy's diet, I think it works!

  • This is the same protocol used by Dr. Gabriel Cousens of the "Tree of Life Center" in Arizona...and has been wildly successful with it! In fact, he has documented more than a handful of type I diabetics fully recovering and no longer needing insulin. I have type II diabetes and need to get on this routine.

  • Now what if the most obese country in the world adapted a more plant based diet?

  • @joydubyadee I am not obese or over-weight and I eat an omnivore diet. Screw plant based. I am extremely healthy

  • Yay vegans! We are saving the world! :)

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables, beans. Corn on the cob, let go of meat. Remove dairy products. I tried a vegetable diet with fruit, no beans and felt hungry all the time. i binged on nuts etc...... How do they cope with hunger pangs on this plant based diet?

  • @Catherine8raw Try drinking water.

  • @Catherine8raw If you were hungry as a vegan it is because your diet was not varied. Both my husband and I never went hungry when starting out. We experimented with all sorts of food. I will admit, it takes a lot of meal preparation and effort, but if you plan out your meals and have readily available snacks, you will be fine.

  • @Catherine8raw -- you didn't even mention eating raw dark green leafy salads. Not the imitation GMO lettuce like iceberg or romaine, but real greens like spinach, arugula, watercress, etc. -- with organic avocado (great high plant-fat), lots of seeds like flax, poppy, sesame & sunflower, with olive oil & vinegar and some chunks of non-dairy mozzarella soy cheese.

Fish oil is nasty. You're only hungry because you're not getting enough vitamins, which can only be found in raw fruits & greens

  • @blakmira I did try eatign dark green veggies, like kale, collards, get the impression it will wreck my thyroid. I believe in halibut/fish, saturated fats/lard, and veggies that you mention. Sesame seeds are loaded with omega 6 and will encourage tumour growth, candida, inflammation. Nuts/seeds are seasonal, no fossil records of our feaces has shown we ever ate seeds, but we did eat nuts. Avacado is GOOD, spinach is OK but the phytates, oxalates in it can build up and bind to our Mg reducing it

  • @Catherine8raw -- It's really simple: you're a living being and you require living foods to be healthy, which is any unprocessed fruit, vegetable or bean from the ground or tree, non-GMO with no pesticides.

When you heat something, it destroys the vitamins.

When you eat a corpse or a by-product (fish/lard) you're eating decaying matter.

Try to forget science propaganda of what phytates bind to whatisits; it's all just doubletalk by pharma designed to confuse you.

    Living Plants = FOOD

  • @blakmira Great mindset. The experts make it too complecated (I guess it goes with the job). But they're barking up the wrong tree. The food we're meant for (fruit & lettuce) is the food that doesn't cause problems, or taste bad.....(and don't have to catch with our hands - which we can't).

  • @blakmira Meat = Food along with plants

  • @blakmira I think people are hungry because you're not getting enough carbs. Also, heavy food made me an obsessive over-eater. Now, on a fruit-based diet, I eat less calories and have less hunger

  • @Catherine8raw Hunger is natural. Feel free to eat more often. You said u tried a vegetable diet with fruit. It should've been a fruit diet with vegetables - meaning, more fruit for the carbs(see 80-10-10 diet, aka: ape diet).

Heavy food made me an obsessive over-eater. Now, on a fruit-based diet, I eat less calories and have less hunger

  • @Gary1111001 Excellent advice Gary!!!

  • @Gary1111001 did not work for me, i tried the 80-10-10, the fruit took alot of my Ca/Mg out, got cramp. It did nothing to help me fight lymes disease. It was fun to start with but not safe. Fruit is uk supermarket tends to be hybridized and unripe (even when it has ripened, it was never really ripe to start with , making it moe acidic.)

  • @Catherine8raw Add some meat back to your diet then problem solved

  • hard to believe to see this on FOX (faux news) .... so at least some of what they present is "fact based" .... but they are airing material from people who know what they are talking about and show that the info is evidence based....

  • If only there were more doctors like this. I never got as far as having diabetes, but I was really overweight, depressed and had a bunch of other issues. I just stopped with the meat and dairy one day and went with unprocessed plant based food. Lost 100lbs and most of my problems. I'm in the best shape of my life too. This guy knows what he's talking about.

  • @cannibalrabbit007 There are more doctors, just not known -- like Gabriel Cousens, who owns the Tree of Life in Arizona -- his documentary is called Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days. He's been doing this for 30 years and credits Max Gerson, one of the originals who cured Albert Schweitzer of diabetes in 1920!

  • It's so exciting to see this info getting out there! So glad to see doctors helping people prevent disease and get off meds.

  • Gosh I wish my dad would look at this. Not only my dad but everyone in my family.Keep up the good work Doc-by informing your paitents like this.

  • What diet? Vegan diet but exactly consisting of what?

  • @Catherine8here As natural and raw as possible.

  • @DigitalPraise7 - My appetite seems to drop when I take fish oil . I get the impression I have hyperphagia via high arachidonic acid and high copper. These are part of the cannibinoid system which we al have and it controls appetite, as do opioids (N/A).

  • you are right Angiecat. It was very enlightening to me to see my blood sugar and blood pressure too btw dropped 20 points on the top and 20 points on the bottom go to almost normal at 115 when my numbers were that high before when on the fast, vegan and a good amount of raw food and tons of produce and then to see it go up in a single meal of meat and fat to 325 was quite eye opening.

  • Although I did not notice much difference in how I felt when eating vegan and lots of raw, when I ate the meat, I felt very sluggish and also got constipated which I rarely have, this showed me what works and what doesn't. From what I read animal fat (and animal protein is not that good either) makes it too slippery and greasy

  • in one's blood around the insulin receptor sites and this is why the insulin can't get in to the cells and the pancreas panics and pumps out more often several times more than normal; and then eventually wears out and then you need insulin. I read the author of the hallelujah diet say if one eats a mickey-d cheeseburger, fries and a shake and then put their blood in a test tube, after an hour or so a layer of fat will rise to the top of the blood.

  • Thanks, angiecat. I recently came off a 50 day juice fast, where I lost now a total of 65 pounds. My blood sugar dropped to 113-117 and stayed there the whole time on the fast. when I got off the fast where I drank about 60% raw juices with the rest veggie broth and herb teas, it rose slightly when I ended the fast but still about 175 far better than the average 375 I did have

  • I have been a vegetarian for 27 years and a vegan on and off since then. My naturopath informs me that my blood sugar disregulation would improve if I ate dairy products because then I wouldn't be getting all my protein from carbohydrates. I think she is wrong, but sometimes I wonder...
