  • Splashstorm04 i think it is a spanish 1 or canadian u can hear the mexicans

  • @DaDudeUpStairs actually it was filmed in germany in the harz in lower saxony, where it was also born.

  • @TheSaxophone

That explains why someone sounded like "Awhnold".

  • What kind of lynx is it?

  • it's a bobcat.

if it would had been a lynx, that guy wouldn't be standing right there

  • @boghi4ever dude.... Iberian and Canadian lynxs are smaller than bobcats

  • Hahahah great cat

  • sehr süßer eindruck.doch dann kommtees anders..

  • that's a bobcat

  • cats are great..thier funny...

  • thats cute,,the cat just pounces on him...cute little guy...

  • That a bobcat.

  • Lynx can JUMP.

  • If that Lynx wasn't just having Fun he could knock that guy flat on his arse

and do it a lot faster !

Own 18 lb.+ Maine Coon male has done it hard enough so keeping in

balance was touch & go ! Loved him all the more for it and all the other

crazy & outlandish things he would come up with !

  • That kitty was just playing, and is apparently used to human contact.

  • That was play behavior. If aggressive that cat woulf have crouched and pounched

  • thumbs up if you expected the Lynx come after the camera lady

  • im gay !

  • @wixterdude

Of course. Everybody is gay on YouTube... wait, on second thought, nope, just you, lol!

  • @AllPro777 im homesexual !

  • @wixterdude good for u bro

  • @wixterdude how did sex get involved with this..come on guys this is a video of cats not sex..jesus christ..wahts goign on here????!!!?

  • I have owned several half lynxes through a whorish semi-outdoor siamese cat.

    This is nothing.

Had one with dementia before still loved it though even though when I was sleeping it would fucking love to dig its teeth as deep as it could into my skull...

  • NINJA CAT!

  • Looks like a bobcat .

  • @BubbaxBoxer20 o.o A bobcat is a lynx they are the same

  • he is a pet lynx

  • So beautiful!

  • BODYSLAM!!! xD

  • I LOVE HIMMMM!!!!!!

  • i think bobcats and lynx are fine to have as pets but to have a fucken tiger or a lion as your pet is a big no no,

  • @ 0:09 - 0:11 lynx does sparticus jump and says,"HUG ME!!!!"

  • playing or not, I would have shit myself.

  • Is legal to adopt a Lynx?

  • @ZakuTransilvenya I hope it is. It is really beautiful big cat and I want to have one before I die

  • @nbensa

well, i can sure tell you that a lynx does not want to live captured as a pet before it dies. It's a wild animal, even if somehow it would be legal it would be still cruel...why won't people get it?

  • @trnZrozami

The dying cub in the cold might not mind a nice place with some cool people and an extra six years on its lifespan spent being spoiled and played with rather then mating and dying.

  • @ZakuTransilvenya

    Rehabilitation license.

  • That's a cool cat!!!

  • A cat that big jumping at you like that seems pretty aggressive to me whether playing or not.

  • I want to own a large cat as a pet at some point... I love cats because they are smart (or act like it, at least) but I like dogs cause, well, dogs are relatively big. lol

  • @McFuckNuggets

large cats are not pets. they are wild animals. (exept savanahh, large domesticated cat)

I don't understand people who say they "love" animals and yet they want to OWN a wild cat. They don't belong in peoples homes,

  • @trnZrozami A pet is just an animal that you care for and train. Technically, any animal can be a pet if it is trained properly...

And by your logic, no animal belongs in someones home because that is not a natural habitat.

Every animal starts out as wild and is domesticated by breeding it as a pet though several generations. There is no difference between a wild animal and a "domestic" animal other than how it was raised.

  • @McFuckNuggets you make a valid point. However, you said every animal starts out wild. So that means we humans are the stupid fucks right? We can't keep the natural world alone....this will be an important statement 100's of years from now when there is hardly anything left of this earth.

  • @whitespruce26 lolwut?

  • @McFuckNuggets I guess I got a little emotional there. I just hate the human mentality that we should own everything. Nothing is sacred, lets ruin everything. I just don't like it thats all. The lynx is a beautiful animal that is meant to be encountered deep in a pine forest, not in some kitchen.

  • @whitespruce26 But there really is nothing sacred. I really don't see the issue with having ANY animal as a pet, as long as it is properly cared for (and the owner is very cautious with it, because it takes several generations to domesticate an animal). Besides, it's not like you are injuring the animal or anything. It can still breed perfectly well with any other member of its species.

  • @whitespruce26 And I guess as fur pelts as well. Around where I live, there is a bounty on Lynx. They are trying to eradicate them because they attack chickens and such. It's either domesticate them or let them get hunted to extinction. There can be no compromise because no farmer is willing to allow a lynx to kill the animals that they depend on for their living. You ought to know by now that humans either see animals as food, companions, or competition. And animals will compete if allowed to.

  • @trnZrozami

    So hey.

    Animal Rehabilitator here.

Raising a wild animal so its not killed has a downfall of, well

Sometimes they just don't want to leave.

Not sure if your a PETA person or anythin'.

But there is no making an animal that you saved from an early death not want to be in your home.

    If they've adapted,

then a household is a habitat.

  • @Joterike just because you save it doesn't mean it automatically needs to be a pet. put it in a large wild enclosure and let it live its life as wild as you can make it. a wild animal in a wild habitat is more beautiful than a pampered pet degraded from its natural instincts.

  • @trnZrozami Depends on the situation...i had a wolf and it loved me...just sayin.

  • What a fine Lynx! lol I would be laying on the ground, laughing. Thanks for sharing!

  • i find it quite interesting when compared to their african cousins (caracals) , one being a desert animal and the other the complete opposite...quite adaptive animals...

  • Ahh I would have wrestled around with him!

  • @vincecharus Actually, it is a lynx. Bobcats have smaller, rounder ears than that, and also have white on the underside of their tails. If you notice after the cat charges and back away from the man, between 0:12 and 0:13, you can see the tail looks like it's been dipped in black paint, with no white underneath.

  • "uaaahahaha"

    fucking freak

  • First the cat is playing, Lynx are very playful. Second, bobcats are a lynx(Lynx Rufus). It is not incorrect to call a Bobcat a Lynx, but most don't. This cat probably is a bobcat, although it is on the large side, bobcats do get this big.

That is also just like a bobcat, to go flying through the air and jump on a person in play.

  • @pilgrim4truth take the time to educate yourself on the difference before you post please.

  • he was play!

  • better looks like a bobcat but im not specialist ...

If he was aggressive, he would have jumped on your face to tear your skin away ...

    Hes only playful.

Btw id be afraid to be close to such an agile feline

  • that was pretty scary but cool

  • Nice Jump!

  • J'ai adoré comment il a sauté sur le monsieur ! xD

  • I wonder can you like them like normal cats ? :D

  • very big hands , and cute.

  • where was this

  • on some way i did manage to lure one lynx to the fence.. they are very agressive!! But who wouldn't if ur getting kidnapped =P (swedish zoo)

  • That's a frisky biscuit!

  • i love the "oh oh" !

  • Not aggressive, he was just playing :).

  • Wow they're fast!!

  • Don't let the size fool you...They're wonderful animals, but if they decide they want you, they WILL hurt you! But they are such wonderful animals!

  • its just a kitteh....

I guess it could bite pretty hard but still

    we're bigger =)

no need to be afraid imo :P.

  • @Smonjirez No need to be afraid?! That thing has almost as big claws as a lion, trust me, it can kill you easily if it wanted to!

  • its playing not trying to attack if it was you would go to the hospital

  • Its about as aggressive as a domestic cat

  • what a lovely cat !!!

  • Looks an awful lot like the lynx is playing.

  • nice way to say hello

  • They seem great though, if you have room for them; I would actually like one. I hope you all take good care of it,(beautiful)

  • That is a good animal to let those people so close and does not deserve that aggressive title; what it diserves was its freedom instead of that fence..

  • uh oh!

  • belongs in the wild

  • Of course it probably has no knowledge OF the wild likely because it probably would have sp\ent most of it's life in captivity thus resulting in a quick death within it's first year in the wild.

Of course you knew that right?

  • to state the obvious, but what i meant was. this cat shouldnt be in captivity in the first place. its not domesticated and never will be.

  • DFirst of all we don't have any clue what these gentlemen are doing with the Lynx. It could be they had Lynxes in there in the first place and one was born in captivity. If they are attempting to domesticate a Lynx then good luck. However if you weren't so blinded you would recall that all domesticated animals were like this at some point.

  • It would die in the wild. You belong in a mental institution however.

  • he wanted you to do the same back, stalk and try catch him

  • love that first pounce they do when they're stalking

  • He's just playing....not mad...

  • Good looking cat!

  • Just because it is playing in this video doesn't mean that it is not generally an aggressive cat.

  • @cateyes221981. yea he isnt showing any agression? : )

  • cat looks like its happy its not mad

  • ha ha :))) its not aggressive,it's just playful:))) Bit scary of course, couse of its size...

  • Well, lynx are not to be fucked with. They're not your easy-going servals or any other can with the brain of a dog. This is pure cat. Full of disdain for humans and belief that it's higher on the food chain.

  • "lulz lynx attacked guy with plestik beg.. lulz."

    0:15

    "uh-oh"

    0:26

OH SHI- gotta stop recording and run

  • Can't you read body language? he was trying to play every possible sign of aggression did not exist

  • hey guys, to all of you. i know, that its playing around. the title of my movie is just irony. sorry for that;)

  • @NightEcho11 you asked if i could read body language.but truth is, ah can read! :3

  • dooohhhh he's sooo cute! ^o^

  • You have a wild cat in captivity ? ?

  • what a magnificent cat. . .

  • Ich liebe luchs!

  • minute 0:15 oh oh haha.

  • Good jump!

  • its just playing around!

  • Действительно,че сразу agressive?

  • Man it be awsome to have one like that ^^

  • He's not aggressive he's playing. He's cute. I love felines.

  • The cat was clearly playing. If it had been in an aggressive mode--i.e. trying to hurt the guy in the cage--it would not have jumped at his head like that. The Lynx is a small cat, and it isn't going to attack something that is four times its size by jumping like that.

  • Well said.......check out charles darwin.

  • I love lynx the best among all felines becuz their cute pointy hair on their ears, their big paws, their high jumps...so much cutter than bobcats, cougars and cats but their spirits are so wild it wont be pleasant to have one as domestic pet

  • The lynx can kill any dog just by playing with it sooo fast!

  • The cat wasn't being aggressive, it was playing.

No growling, ear not laid back, playing. The bigger cats play much the same way as their house cat cousins. Their size and speed makes them seem aggressive. Had the Lynx intended to injury it keeper, it would have done so quite easily. Just kitty tag. Lynx, properly socialized are no different than their house cat cousins, just bigger. Not meaner, more ferocious or any more vindictive than a house cat can be if provoked. Beautiful Lynx.

  • I lOve you

  • y claro! si se pone en jodido en serio te morfa...TE MORFA!

  • The only thing you miss is the level of play and power over that of what a normal house cat possess.

  • lynx in germany? thats rare...

  • lovely!

  • i have an ocicat but i want a lynx.

  • I wonder why people buy a lynx, and then wonder why their face gets rearranged the first time you make it angry. They don't calm down after a little while like housecats do. They can be like that for days at a time.

  • its all how you raise them. and if you notice this lynx was simply playing. he never meant any harm to the owner.

  • If you would like to see picts of my cats, go to CWWFC . com I have to type it that way because it wont let me post it otherwise.

  • AHHH HAAAA!! Well then... you are right!! lol!! Because, my bobcat has white under his tail. And my canadian lynx does not.

  • I own a Canadian Lynx, It has no white on its tail either. White on the tail in NOT always an indicator of what kind of lynx you have.

  • I repeat again the law I already explained (and your lynx does follow that law):

No white&clear separation between gray and black -> lynx lynx (eurasian or canadian).

White on the tail-> lynx rufus (bobcat).

I thought that I explained it clearly. If not I am sorry!

  • where did you adopt your Lynx from? ive always been deeply interested in exotic pets and as soon as i heard that you can legally own Lynx as pets it became my favorite. is there a special process i have to go through or a special dealer i need to contact in order to adopt one of my own?

  • Check on google for "exoticcatz" first link.. Ask on their forums, lots of exotic cats owners there.. (from bobcats to tigers)

  • awesome thank you :)

  • No problem.. I also found out Lynx are legal to own here :) (Netherlands) and also became an exotic cats freak :p .. Although I can't really get one now.. Only 17 + not enough room + not enough money :p .. But I'd love to own some someday..

  • haha ill have to find out if their legal in Indiana in the USA. but if they are it will be a couple years or longer before i can own one since im having the same problems as you are. but yea ide love to own one someday as well

  • call your state vet in Indiana... the phone is: 317-227-0300 ask them if it is leagal. Also, check your local city and county codes. There might be some restrictions there. Buy only from a USDA breeder. I got mine from a fur farm in MT. I cannot give that info here. Good luck in your quest!! Also, Animal Finders Guide is a good place to locate a reputable USDA breeder.

  • awesome thanks.

  • I never said it was a bobcat. I said a bobcat is called scientifically LYNX RUFUS. I assumed that it was filmed here in the states. Therefore, an eurasian lynx would not be indigenous. Please re-read my comments. Once again, I never said it was possible that it was a bobcat!!!!!

  • I never said that you said it was a bobcat:-!

I said your description of a bobcat, while generally true, is not the easiest indicator for someone who is not familiar of lynxes/bobcats. The tail's color is the easiest.

  • also eruasian lynx have a more red coat, ANY lynx can have white in them or on their tail. An eurasian lynx would not be given out by ANY zoo in the US for release into the wild. However, a canadian lynx might. Also, It is illegal to release any NON indiginous animal into the wild ANYWHERE in the US. Eurasian lynx are from EUROPE, therefore, non-indiginous. I say, you have a beautiful Canadian Lynx there.

  • I guess I have to contradict you.

First, this IS a Eurasian lynx (lynx lynx lynx). Second, if you listen carefully you hear german. This is Harz NationalPark (Saxony, Germany). Therefore it IS an indigenous lynx.

Finally, your caracterization of the lynx lynx is valid but not always easy. Here we have an unmistakable clue: the tail has only two colors. Brown on the base, black on the tip, with a neat separation. Thus it can't be a bobcat (lynx rufus). It has to be a lynx lynx.

  • Very cool. By the way Vinececharus, it is a lynx. Lynx have longer legs, long tufts at the end of their ears and are generally thinner, but bigger than bobcats. Bobcats, have rounded ears, and short legs. A bobcat is actually a lynx (lynx rufus). I say that the cat shown in this video is either a canadian lynx (most likely), or an eurasian lynx (probably not, due to extremely endangered status)

  • It's a bobcat, not a lynx!

  • I'm sorry...I didn't know the difference. what is the difference then?

  • @TheSaxophone you can see the difference at the ears .. search google and u will find the difference

  • @TheSaxophone Actually, this guy's incorrect. Bobcat's are a species of lynx, so technically, you are correct, just for the wrong reason,. :P

  • Lynx lynx lynx : Eurasian Lynx (the tail has no white).

  • @vincecharus

it´s a lynx... even his latin name is Lynx lynx

  • @vincecharus I'm afraid you are wrong, sir. You can tell on its tail, ears, coat and size.

The Bobcat has a banded tail and a Lynx has a black-tipped tail, like the one in this video :)

Bobcats have short ear tufts and Lynxes have long ear tufts.

Bobcats have only spotted coats while only some Lynxes have.

The Bobcat also looks more like a house cat while the Lynx can grow to be just as big as a dog.

And the Bobcat only lives in north America ;)

  • @vincecharus There are four different species of the genus lynx. One of them is the bobcat. The one in the clip is most probably a Eurasian lynx which is bigger. A bobcat is hardly bigger than a housecat and you don't pee your pants when spotting them in the wild (which I just did 2 weeks ago). The one in the clip could seriously injure a man if cornered or surprised. I would feel privileged anyways to see one in the wild...

  • @vincecharus that's a lynx 100%

  • @vincecharus Its a lynx, bobcats are smaller and do not have the huge padded feet of a lynx.

  • wow, that cat can jump.

  • Lynx r wild animals NOT pets. Dont tame wild animal its bad

  • You have to know the story:

It actually was born in a zoo and was meant to be returned to the wild. but its mother didn't want it, so a keeper took care of it - at home...

so thats why it became tame and couldn't be returned to the wild...

  • @TheSaxophone You know its illegal for him to have that right? Zoo keeper or not Lynx are endangered, he/she should be in a sanctuary not some guys backyard..

  • @Animalluver849 Why do people parrot this nonsense? What the hell is wrong with keeping a "wild" animal as a pet? All animals were wild at some point. But then we tamed them. Was that wrong, too?

  • Agressive where ? lool

  • I wish have a lynx

  • It is clearly just playing/fooling around. Look at the body language, step size and tail

  • yeah i have a cat too , and what you said , its walking loosly :) fooling around

  • cool

  • is that his pet or something?

  • oha
