  • Red Wings fans remind me of the Yankees fans.If a star has a bad streak they want him gone, traded.Osgood is a very good goalie. He helped big time in the Islanders 2001-02 season and they had an average defense.People always diss Osgood, but what about that bum Fleury in Pittsburgh? That guy stinks and is overrated. He was even horrible in the AHL.He was so bad one year in the playoffs,he was pulled for a back-up goalie. It wasn't Osgood's fault in 2009.The Wings had alot of guys playing injured.

  • osgood didnt let the wings down in 09 the wings leg him down he brought them there 2 yerars in a row

  • no offense to jimmy howard but if babcock gets over himself and actually plays ozzy once in a while and in playoffs we will take the cup a lot of people blame him for game 7 but i dont at all we need him for the cup

  • its about time ive started noticing some true wings fans. osgood has only played 15 seasons, and is about to pass hall of famers who have played nearly 5 more seasons. even if osgood played 5 for years and only won half the games he played in, it would add about 180 wins. which would put him ahead of Roy, Belfour, Cujo, Sawchuck, Plante, Esposito, Hall, and Fuhr. all but 2 of those are in the hall of fame. you are spot on man. if you run the #'s he is nothing short.

    CHRIS OSGOOD EARNED IT !

  • i think your right about osgood

  • go osgood my fav goalie! and yes i think he is a hof goalie

  • you speak the truth homie where u from man? im from flint

  • I am a big fan of Osgood... and I live in Dallas. He is not the reason yall are struggling.

Tho I personally like seeing the Red Wings struggle (sorry), its weird looking at the western central and seeing both CHI and NASH ahead of DET.

  • He's HoF goalie no doubt. Not his fault our O cant score.

datsyuk is off his game, and zetterburg...hopefully burtuzzi keeps playin hard like he has been, and generate some offense.

    go wings

  • I hate how people rip on Ozzie, then suddenly when the playoffs come they jump on the bandwagon and cheer for him. When I tell people my favorite team is the wings they always say they have one problem with the wings: Ozzie. And I tell them exactly what you say man, go look at the damn numbers. I saw him get his 50th career shutout this year against Boston. I will always support my man Ozzie, he is an incredibly talented veteran who deserves to be supported and receive nothing but respect

  • Oh yes the infamous Osgood Playoff Bandwagon, more seats on that thing then there are in the Joe! Exactly, his numbers should speak for him which are right up there with the NHL's elite, but of course who wants to look at silly ol' statistics, haha!

...Oh and Im jealous you got to be there for his 50th! Id' love to see him catch Roy in SO's but its gonna be close.

  • I agree with you 110% Chris. There are a lot of 'fair weather fans'. I personally am a huge fan of Osgood and have been since his rookie season. Many have hopped on the Jimmy Howard magic bus and have conviently forgetten a lot of Osgoods amazing acomplishments. Don't get me wrong, I am just as impressed with Howard and can see him making Detroit his home for many years to come but Osgood is and will continue to be a formidable presence in goal for the Red Wings. Osgoods numbers say it all!

  • Yea I remember when the Wings drafted him he didnt look a day over 15 years old, haha. Since then he has always been the punching bag. Yea I like Howard I think he has turned into a pretty good goalie but you can still see the rookie mistakes he and there (out of position/jumping around a bit much). So I hope people don't start expecting too much from him or think that he's ready to be the number 1 guy because it just isn't so. Detroit can be hard on its goalies..second to only Montreal fans IMO

  • I have seen that 'infamous bandwagon' go roaring threw the Joe year after year and frankly it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. My luck with last minute ticket purchases last season was nothing short of a mircle. I was there when the Red Wings shutdown the Ducks and the Hawks. I was also unbelievable blessed to be at games 5 and 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. I just got my desktop pc back from the tech and will be posting all of my pics to my facebook if you want to have a look see. !GO WINGS
