The ONLY studio LP version of this Cher song on the entire website and he has to use the MF-ing microphone-to speaker method! (SIGH!) A hardcore downer! I HATE this shit !!!!!!!!
As I remember it, this song always had an interesting sound to it. Cher always had a sort of nasal quality to her voice. The opening few bars do not seem to be accelerated. Song does not appear to be speeding. Great song however. Thank you for the post. Love the song.
at the same time sonny and cher had this out as a single so did the byrds with their version. cher's was more successful so deejays started flipping over the byrds single to play " I'll feel a whole lot better when your gone " on the other side and it became a hit too.
If I had a stereo version of this, is hook up the audio directly into my pc and put the speed back to it's original speed. It sounds like a K-Mart radio and the Chipmunks singing.
@TonyRigatoniUsa: It certainly IS "chipmunkish", among other negative observations. Since the Sonny & Cher cover of this particular Dylan song was more preferable than the Byrds' (which was on the charts at the same time), a decent recording would certainly be a keeper. Since I can't find the righteous studio version anywhere, I certainly hope that you make good on your idea to post your recording of it: I will be among the first to download it and to earnestly thank you for uploading it...
coolsixties--I tried uploading this a couple of times and YT blocks it because of WMG copyright. I'm pretty sure it is the one you are talking about--from about '65 or '66.
so this is what Sonny and Cher sounded like after suckin helium

It's so cool that you are playing it right from the phonograph. Brings back great memories.

I bought Cher Gold recently and this is one of my favourite songs on disc1. She is also a very sexy lady. Jansen (41) London

Looking for the video from an american bandstand type show. It was the best version yet. Don't know the host of the show.

itactually a flaw with the stereo version of the lp. they were all pressed like that, you gotta play it at 31rpm to get it right!!
