Oh my gosh, this is beautiful. I've actually been listening to this song all day-- Leonard Nimoy's cover of it, actually! How perfect to see your video. I love that you rendered it black and white, it suits the song so much more. The close-up shots really are a nice element.

I admit that I am a newer Trekkie, entering the fandom with the new movie (though I find myself favoring Nimoy's Spock), and I wouldn't call myself a Spirk shipper as of now, but all these lovely fanvids may persuade me!

I agree with sisaofrost. This song is very beautiful when sung by Mrs. Mitchell"s voice. I think it has nothing to do with Mr. Spock or Cap. Kirk who were the prototype of real men ,not gays. If you accomodated the good , the bad and the ugly, they would appear the same way as here.

Actually, Kirk isn't really the "ladies man" everyone credits him as being. 9 times out of 10 Kirk has an ulterior motive when seducing a woman. He only really becomes a 'ladies man' in the second half of season three, by which time Gene Roddenberry was barely involved with the show.

But even with Kirk's (albeit rare) interest in women, there is such a thing as bisexuality, you know...

Kirk was a total bisexual. I was just watching "Tomorrow is Yesterday" from Season 1, and when the captain from the 60's beams up Kirk totally checks him out and flirts with him. This of course, happens on more than one occasion, but holy crap it was so obvious in this episode.
