the 13 inch 2.53 is the best buy with the most power. it hovers around the 1200-1500 mark which might be a lot for some people but it's definitely worth it. This laptop (unibody) should last you probably 3-5 years and hold up very well with the revolutionary Nvidia 9400M you'll at least be able to PLAY newer games in low resolution, whereas many graphics chipsets in laptops will not give you any future potential. Great processor. 5.06GH total power. 4gigs is overkill. great buy. great laptop.

I switched from Mac to PC simply because my Mac started to get on my nerves, my problem was that almost all software I needed was only for PC, I know there is bootcamp and paralells but that is a pain in my a*** I like both though, PC and Mac are both great computers :)

You can run Vista or XP on a mac at the same time you're running Snow Leapoard. A new operating system should cost you much less than a new laptop. Sorry to inform you too late but you can get all the functionality out of your mac (whereas PC lags behind in many aspects).

ye so your MBP has the "drop-in" snow leopard, so they just stuck a snow leopard disc in the box before selling it, it was one of the MBP that was originally packed with Leopard, that happened with my imac

congrats on the macbook. i personally think apple care is a waste even with the discount. i have never had a mac die on me but i guess people just want to play it safe and thats cool. what were some of the reasons you had in your had not to purchase a macboook?
