I agree with the guy who said that after reading the book, it's almost surreal to see these characters in the book come to life on screen. Read the book "Born to Run" if you want to learn how to not only run better but also be a simpler better human being!
This is so surreal. I remember when I was a member of dirty sole society. Now it is Society for barefoot living. I remember barefoot Ted was getting so much flack for endorsing vibram five fingers. I took up running barefoot 3 years ago. And now I'm reading a phenomenon book born to run!
Really cool to see you two in kinda-real-life, it's only a video but it gives an image to how you all sounded in my head in the book, Caballo living off the land and all
Ted, did he ever actually punch you? I've started barefoot running at track and xc practice because of the book, really good stuff, hopefully helps raise my arch because I'm really flat footed. Thanks for making barefoot running known.
Any one know how he's doing now? I feel very. . . I don't know, interested in his welfare, after reading Born to Run. He's like the cool uncle, y'know?
Just finished "Born to Run," and I'm not even a runner, but loved it anyway (it reads like a novel- very well-written!) It's so surreal to see the "characters" in it in real life! Rock on, Ted (and Caballo Blanco!)
These are really the guys from the book I am still reading? Wow.
My wife and I are going to start running this summer. I told her I am going barefoot and she should too. We have 3 children and I told her we need to start letting our oldest (2 years) boy go barefoot in our backyard and driveway.
I work in tech support but I stand and do not sit but I do not like the job. I do not even want to work in computers anymore. I'm in a transitional state. This book and these videos rock!
Why wouldn't he wear running shoes? If you read the book, his "stance" on running is that people should run how they feel comfortable. He doesn't endorse nor disparage any style of running; he just wants people to live their lives and run free.
It's great to see Caballo on film. I just finished reading the book, Born To Run, and now I'm inspired...and this, coming from a 58n year old couch potatoe!
wow, just finished Born to Run. Great to see a video of Caballo Blanco

He is not wearing running shoes, they are trail sandals. And yes, he did finish the race.
