  • UT Spam is for noobs

  • I like the slowmo effect. And I think they knew exactly what they were doing with this game. It's not that hard or cheap if you've been gaming a while. Try the NES versions or really just about any game from the late 80's early 90's. Kids today won't make it past the 2nd level

  • ehh this doesnt lag on the ps3 but at least you guys get real blood we get purple mist T-T

  • @Rexxanus

on PS3's version of this staircase fight:

    1. The enemies disappear immediately after they're killed. They just evaporate like fiends do.

    2. There are only 4 enemies on screen at a time because of the instant disappearing BS.

    3. There are no arms, legs, heads, or cleaved torsos left behind for those 4 enemies.

    4. The blood instantly disappears.

^This is all just for your "ps3 doesn't lag" version. It's nearly EMPTY, so of course it doesn't lag. Lmao Sigma 2 is SHIT.

  • The Dragon sword (i think thats the name of it) was the only weapon i used through this whole game

  • The only think epic about this section is the insane slowdown, the spamming of shurikens and the fact that Team Ninja thought they could get away with it.

Unfortunately, by reading some of these comments, they did get away with it. I don't know if it's because of fanboyism or if it's because kids can't see beyond the blood.

  • All I need on this part is my good ol' Dragon Sword. But the Nunchaku is cool too

  • daaaamn at 4:00 the ninjas behind should have been like: oooh shit he really hates him lol

  • wow major slowdown lol

  • i think that many stairs alone would be enough to keep me out

  • I wish Team Ninja would have put out this:

a simple mode, just this staircase, or a large, open arena.

    Endless ninjas, the dramatic music.

Put it out for like, 5 bucks.

I'd play the hell out of it.

  • @CaustoVirale

Even better if you could choose the area, music and completely adjust the amount of enemies. That would be epic.

  • this is what i do to my alarmclock every morning :)

  • I can't see why the slow down bothered some people. It made this entire fight epic!

  • @GothicSword

i thought it was like that on purpose then i realized, i was fighting so mnay ppl my 360 couldnt keep up

    GOAT game right here

  • GOD i loved this part, unless ninjas to chop up! you would think after the 100th person killed, they would've given up, but I guess they're that persistent for death haha. Too bad it was LAGGY AS SHIT at this part god damn I've never seen a console game lag that badly in my life.

  • @Huhmasta You also never seen a console game with that many enemies on screen at once, that could be chopped into variable pieces that stay there, with blood fountains going everywhere either. Think about it -- no game console on the market could handle it any better. If the PS3 could do any better, then they wouldn't have gutted and butchered the fight in NGs2. Sig 2 removes 85% of the fight.

This fight was pure fun in NG2. Fun is why we play games.

  • this was such a fun part of the game, just pure obliteration and UTs just YES you feel the surge of power as Ryu

  • I thought the lag made it more awesome lol

  • Should have used level 3 wind blades ninpo. It looks awesome when you rip apart 30 ninjas simultaneously.

  • Personally, I loved the slowdown. This was seriously my favorite part of the game. And this is one of my favorite games. Favorite part of favorite game = Favorite video game moment ever.

If you use the scythe ultimate, the body parts/blood just rain down from the sky. Disgusting.

  • this was the best part

  • i used the scyte for the first minute.

then i used the vigoorian flais.

it was a massacre. I almost used the ultimate the whole time togeter with the YYYYYYY combo.

And yeah its like really 100 enemies.

  • i remember using the tonfa up these stairs and almost having in orgasm watching everything just flying everywhere!

  • BTW this staircase makes lag beautiful.

  • I hate fanboys, you people are too finicky.

    xD

Every console is awesome in it's own way.

Don't talk shit on another two consoles because your mom only bought you one.

  • I would love to see this game get a PC port. For example, look at DMC 4's LDK mode, or RE 5's No Mercy mode.

  • argh, I was so pissed with this fight. I would've been perfect if it weren't for the effing slow down. It's gotta be shotty programing cause i haven't seen slow down since the 16-bit wars of the 90's.

  • The slowdown was really bad. It only happens on Warrior difficulty and higher. It was too much.. matrix ninja

  • they ruined the staircase on sigma

    ps3 version: 4-5 enemies

    360 version: a tidle wave (20 enemies)

5 times more enemies on screen that is disgusting.

  • fuck yeah I loved this part

  • damn. no more unresponsive Ryu in sub HD. oh well. i guess i'll stick with more characters, better graphics, more weapons, coop...

  • Ninpo choju gigai

  • PS3 can't run this without slowdown either. They already made the limbs disappear into thin air on SIgma 2. Which really sucks.

The enemy head's don't explode anymore when you Izuna drop them in the PS3 version :(

I'm sticking to Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox 360. Uncut FTW!!!!

  • It has a year and a half more development time, as well as NG2 having a trouble development period also. It has nothing to do with PS3 hardware or 360.

  • Superior version? More like noob version.

  • Too bad this fight won't even be in the PS3 version. It cannot handle all the heads rolling down the steps. :(

This fight was EPIC in the 360 game.

  • damn this is my most favorite of this whole entire game. its fun using a vigorian flail or tonfa and watching the madness and destruction.

  • I thought the slow down was intentional lol. I thought it was fucking sick, slow motion mayhem, you are just destroying everything and you get to see all your destruction. Epic fight for sure.

  • if this slowdown happened on a big name sony game like KZ2 360 fans would laugh their asses off.

When it happens on a big name 360 game, it's a feature to revel in.

  • Or maybe it's because the slowdown happens at one point in the game, and actually makes it more epic, if there was a bit with just a corridor full of civilians in KZ2 that you could gun down in slowmotion everyone would jizz just as much.

  • i seriously wished this area would never end

  • Those silly ninjas...Stop fighting already! You cannot kill him!

  • more like EPIC SLOWDOWN.

good this this crap wont happen on the fixed ps3 version

  • Be glad to, because when it slows down you can enjoy the sight of all the shit flying aroud xD

  • best part of the whole game

  • play this with theDragon Blade combined with the sword of Genshin and you will see awesomenes

  • Scythe + UT level 2 + this part = Something cute will happen XD

  • my favorite part of the game but you should use the vigren flails it really makes this part of the game epic

  • is there Mission's just like sigma ?

  • whar chapter is this

  • u know after seeing that many of your friends die youd think theyd get the point and run away

  • Ultimate Question. When they see a freaking killer maniac ninja...they never think of just hiding somewhere or just do as they are death (and dropping their notebook nearby)

  • the giant wind syth is the best i had it at lvl 3 i was fighting for 10 mins till i got 1 dmg then I ran up the stairs

  • i knw u had trouble beatin this game u never blok u shud have used the ninchucks/vigoorian flails on this part. thats the fkin best weapon to use.

  • No. The best weapon to use here is definitely the Scythe, no doubt about that. Do a onland-charge to level 2 and release, the UT has an extreme range and 1-hit kills medium sized enemies.

  • the way you play and your slow weaponchanging is boring as hell...

  • hes old school like me hes probably used to the original ninja gaiden after playing it like 6 times

  • damn how would u feel if your the last ninja and u juz seen like 500 of your buddies get turned to hamburger meat

  • I would feel like running the other way.

  • i would feel like praying

  • Amen to that one!

  • kusari-gama FTW

  • has anyone did this bit on master ninja

  • yes, on master ninja you need the art of the wind blades on level 3 because there are like a million of white ninjas and those fucking throwing explosive shurikens ninjas...i used the scythe...sorry my english isnt very good

  • nice one, did it take long?

  • it take some time, i used the tiger fang and dragon claw

  • not really... is not as hard as you think...(if you have the arts of the wind blades on level 3 of course)

  • So...Much....Blood.....and body parts being cut up and blown up. This game is AWSOME!

  • This was one of the best part of the game!

  • ...Daaaaaaamn. All I saw were body parts flying and guts/gore.

  • this part was sick. really sick. i'm playing this part over and over again, trying all the weapons. but the scythe wins. absolutely.

  • I used the full upgraded Kusari for this. The Y-Spam is perfect. Once I had a couple dead I just spent the rest of the time using Ultimates.

  • Anyone knows how many enemies there are in this part?

  • Uhhh... Alot?

  • LOL

  • i have a seperate save file just for this part. didn't know the kusari gama had that much range

  • I'm definitely getting this!

  • Ugh, the rocket dudes. They fail.

That staircase fight, however, ownez soo much! There should be more of those moments in the game.

  • you are great at those Ultimate attacks, I rarely use them, as when I try I am often hit with kunai's or the like.

  • Ultimate Technique is verrrrry easy at this part because of all the yellow orbs, it charges in a split second.

  • yes, I found that out in my new game plus, had only done the original play through when I made the first comment.

  • Step 1: Take out your scythe

Step 2: Charge up to UT level 2

Step 3: AIM where all the enemies are

    Step 4: Release

Step 5: Enjoy the rain :)

Haha, I loved this staircase...my favorite part of the game.

  • The only thing I really hated about this part when I got to it, was the UBER frame rate lag.

  • They obviously didn't know what they were doing with this game. I hated the majority of the game and its artificial difficulty (unescapable grabs, offscreen projectiles, those rocket launcher douchebags, etc.), but it IS fun in small doses.

  • Yea. It was a little easier than Sigma/Black, But I like the new cinematic OTs. What's your favorite weapon if you have one?

  • Tonfas by far.

  • I agree with you fully there. I like the flail also, its in a close 2nd

  • Same here, the Tonfas are great.

I used the Lunar for this part, but I ussually use the Tonfas.

  • Baha, I've never even used them. Once I got my hands on the scythe, it was basically all I used except for the dragon sword and occasionally dual katanas. I really appreciated the scythe's ability to cut up everyone that was around me at once. It actually came in very handy during that staircase fight. I just couldn't believe how much slowdown there was. It was like they didn't finish the game before shipping.

  • @foamyswrath1 The Dragon Sword

  • @tetsuo9999 I dont know, i really liked this game!!!!

  • @foamyswrath1

That's what made it so epic! Slow mo with those animations, awesome. :D

  • "AAHHH! I'm surrounded! Oh, wait. what do I care I'M A NINJA! YEAH!"

Epic certainly was the correct word.

  • I've always wanted to play one of the Gaiden games...

    Looks so bad ass.

  • Got NG2 I see, very nice.

  • this is epic
