the first surfer is jack, you can tell by his style. the second is chris

well.. Jack is regular footed so going down a left he will naturally be backside to the wave while the other guy is goofy footed so he'll naturally face frontside to a wave going left.

in non surf terms: when jack is surfing you'll see his front not his back.
