whenever you catch a fish you need to relax... and whenever you catch a trout you don't lip it, and try this lure for trout: Thomas Fightning fish in the gold color. this lure has out produced the kastmaster and if you do decide to buy it, use the lure with a steady yet slower retreive with slight rod twitches.....happy fishing!
Nice vids... You need to put down those lures though..and pick up some Thomas Bouyants. Pick up a Thomas Cyclone in Gold/Red or Copper. Trust me on that.. you'll triple the amount of trout you're catching.
Love Lake Chabot! Caught a 7 1/2 lb trout by the 2nd dock on 01/30/10. I just bought some rooster tails and 1/2 oz silver/blue kastmaster lure....can't wait to try them out. Hit me up with an email when u go again. I live 5 min away and go to Chabot 2-3X a month...Peace, Blessings and Fish on!
Tie you on a hilderbrant shad king about 16 inches above that kastmaster if you really want to see something my man! Wind and retreave OR Jig vertical.
Man i wish there was that much fish here in the central valley. We've been out there a couple of times but we never had a bite, you got couple of good catchs though and thanks for the tips.
how do you prefer to tie kastmaster, direct to the line or with a small swivel?....... man lake chabot good ass hell for trout especially if you bank fish off raccon point youll go home with your limit everyday
Never been to oroville, but san pablo dam has given my family a large amount of trout during our fishing careers. easily over 100. crappie is big there too. nice list i live in oakland

your not suppose you reel in the fish all the way to the rod tip thats why your line keeps breaking.

both work but switching is easier with a swivel when you want to go from kastmaster to rooster tail or a spoon.
