@spyRG it's not really a flight simulator. It's just a game which revolves around aerial warfare. (or at least the first one was.) I once heard it described as "about as much like flying a real plane as putting on a pair of aviators and standing in front of a fan."

It's pretty obvious really....watch it again...you'll see the runway at the clip of the base under attack. On top of that the OPs center isn't respond, because...guess what....it's under attack...guess where it is....THEIR BASE.....

I do think that the real Hawgdrivers would be insulted by this video, since there are pilots that brought a Hawg home in worse shape than just with one egine damaged or destroyed. This Plane can withstand much, and i mean much more damage than depicted here. Well its just another Flight-Action game, and cannot hold a Candle To Lock On Flaming Cliffs 2 or DCS or the Falcon 4 in its different version. Hell not even to the strike fighter series.

I hope they got rid of a couple of things.

1. Assistance ON/OFF

2. Intense level grinding (not completely, just less of it)

3. All the aircraft flying with almost exactly the same speed and maneuverability parameters. (A-10=F-22?)

@stewox1 even still, it seemed at least in the X360 version that the planes flew at the same speed. A-10 or YF-12/SR-71: 599 mph at idle, 1000 at full burn. Don't get me wrong, it was still fun, but the level grinding wasn't. It'd be nice if they didn't spread out the airplanes so much so that you have to play the heck out of it to unlock the Su-47. I've been playing for years now and have only gotten to almost lv.33.

Yeah Unfortunately a game thats 5 years old (Over-G) provides more realism than any of these newer games. Dont' fret thought check out Jane's Advanced Strike Fighter. so far word is that its going to be a flight combat sim for the console.
