Just by reading the comments below it's clear that this is the music we should be hearing on the radio... unfortunately we live in world still run by baby boomers who think their evening news programs, reality shows and oldies music is still important.
I've been listening to Zero 7 since their first album and have to say JG is a true gift of hard work and talent.
it's not baby boomers. no, it's corporate america. there was quality music to be found back in the 60s and 70s...dare i say, even as good as this. and it too was neglected for the mainstream dullard music that you find today. same as it ever was.
It's such a strong song, it could easily stand on its own with jose + synth + congas. I wonder why they decided to back-track the drums and bass for this performance.
@notgrekk not sure about the bass, but the drummer is playing live, just in a soundproof room behind, you can see him through the glass. if he were in the same room it would interfere with the mics
I wanted to drive down to Austin TX and see them over a month ago, but that pesky work stuff got in the way again! Great talent with the contemplative mood this song evokes...I cannot describe it.
wow... i just clicked play not knowing who junip was and half way through i'm like wait... this guy sounds a lot like jose! And i read the info thingy and holy crap it's his band before he was with Zero 7! Freaking awesome!
They are so good live. :-)
