Well its obvious to assume that they've heard of online dating/blind data...what I meant was did they use Karls idea about describing ones self. If you listen to the early xfm shows there are so many anecdotes from their lives and from karls life and his anecdotes from the shows that make it to the Office or Extras.

A lot of Karlisms make it into Ricky's standup too (the "stressing out an eskimo" in Fame springs to mind), however thats because it fits in with Ricky's faux-naive/belligerent stage persona. The real magic of Karl is his genuine naivity, i don't think Ricky would expect us not to see that.

A lot of people say Karl is contrived now; he isnt - its just that Ricky and Steve know exactly what buttons to push to get Karl's reactions and fill a podcast.

I still take Karl at face value.
