These were/are really good scanners. I bought the PRO-2005 back when they came out in the 1990's. They weren't on the shelve very long before the PRO-2006 replaced it. The one and ONLY difference between these two models is the 2006 has a feature called "Hyperscan". This is merely a faster scan/search rate over the previous 2005 model.
I also bought the PRO-2006 sometime later. I sure wish I had either of these models now because they are truly great little receivers with great build quality.
i had this scanner very poor on am i live across the road from newcastle airport and you cant even pick up the tower on me handheld with no antenna on it i still can
very good sounding scanner, i had the exact same one back in about 94/95. wish i hadn't of sold it when i did. by the way, when you put your camera around to let the people see what the radio looked like, i noticed at the top where the speaker is, that it looked like something had been spilled on the speaker. might be just the way it was manufactured but just wanted to point that out. i wouldn't want to be seeing a person not getting his or hers moneys worth. thanks for the video.
Does this device have a signal strength readout when tuned into different frequencies? I am trying to do direction finding of illegal stations, along with a rotateable directional Yagi aerial. Thanks.

There are modifications available to add an "S" meter to this Scanner. I haven't tried it myself.
