In my 08 the roof actually folds into place,but in this it seems the roof just slips into the boot,so what happens to the boot?

you are wrong. if you had bmw you would know that after you press for 5 seconds to the lock button the windows will be closed.. so we dont have to press the button until the windows closed. it automatically do that after 5 seconds of push.

That's not right, roof down requires button held for full roof fold. If you release button it stops wherever it is. Only way to put roof up is either from inside with button in car or with key in lock of door held 'locked' until cycle finished!

@TAAZ3000..... I know, but the american cars has not folding hard-top. One of the first car that has a folding hard top was European, and it was the peugeot 401 eclipse.
