@gcalco Thanks Jerry. Our friend Steve sent me a junk shell from a Seaboard so I could use it's apron on the powered A. The bottom of the B was rusty and lost a lot of paint. I cleaned it up and did lots off touch up. It looks good. I could not afford the rare 6 inch caboose, however procured a 7 inch 976 caboose on the cheap a few months back. I still need to remove the plastic knucle coupler and replace it with a tab and slot. . This turned out to be a lot more work than I had contiplated.
I had that set, Marx Kansas City Southern, I use to run that with my Lionel Erie Alco's with 027 Blue Strip pass cars, And my NH EP5, Milwk Rd, EP-5, And, A very Old Marx Steam Freight set, I was hooked for life, Who care'd then about scale. I didn't and still don't. Just Love it! Wish I had some of those old one's again, I have lots of lionel stored away. But, The Marx was really special.
The trolley is actually an old Made In Japan friction cable car purchased at Woolworths in San Francisco in the 50's. I removed the friction motor and added a K-Line handcar chassie and motor and a little interior lamp. The little plastic trolly in the backgroud came in pieces from a yard sale. I put it back togeather, painted it and added a little Industrial rail handcar chassie and lamp.
Love those KCS units, they are on my want list. The Bob Wills song is also great.
Thanks for sharing.
