i've a question, how to you put notes in the song that you dont have to strum? like you have. when you only need to play the first note and the rest you only have to tap.

@hiehoeha Hammer Ons and Pull Offs? Any note baster than 1/8 notes will be HOPOs. So 1/8 triplet, 1/16, 1/16 triplet, and 1/32 notes will all be to where you only strum the first note. 1/32 triplet notes are supposed to be like that, but they glitch and don't show up correctly. Don't use them.

And you'll be at this screen, only without the notes, obviously.

you make them go over eachother by nudging the note you want over the long note backwards into the long note... i havent figured out how to make a long not over another though i did before.

You thirs make the note you want to sustain and cut it. then you make the other note and paste the sustain note back on the place and you're all set:-) I accedantely figured this out on my ghtune. it doesn't make the note sound longer though and it only works on the lead (it somehow fails on bass and keyboard:S) and if the sustained note is lower than the next one (colors from right to left). check my other comment for an other way.

The other way is to add the color of the note that you want to sustain on ever other note along the way of it's sustain (with the tool shown in the first part of this video). This way will also not make the sound longer though. It might look strange but when you play it will give the same effect as a sustained note and this is posible on both lead/rythem and bass/keyboard Check out my video of Holy Orders SSH for excamples of both cases.

you just put the game in and pick the music studio option and then GHTunes 2.0 and it will take you to this screen

are the chords supposed to sound exactly like the original note I played or did I do something wrong?

The lead track chords sounds exactly like they would before you changed them. There is only one way to really get a lead "chord" and its weird and you have to know some basic music theory or knowledge of chords in order to do it.

I can make a vid on that if you like.

Anyways, the chords I show are for gameplay, not for actual chords. You did nothing wrong. For real chords, you should use the rhythm guitar, or I can make that tutorial. Just let me know.

Um, basically, go to the keyboard and set the sound to a synth guitar lead, and then set the POD on the same as the lead guitar. Then the basic rule is whatever the guitar is on, make the keyboard on 4 notes above that in the scale.

I.E. if the guitar is on an open note, make the keyboard on a yellow.

Green - Blue

Red - Orange

you get the idea.

Play around with it some.

If it still doesn't work for you, check back. I'll get on the video sooner.

Yes. It's the same way of making chords for the lead guitar (or any other instrument, besides drums)

No, GH5 is worth it for more than this

It has a great setlist, lots of fun songs on all instruments, and they fixed a lot of the online play issues from WT.

The custom song creator is amazing tho. It's one of my favorite parts, but that's just because I use it so much.
