If the player wins "Poker Game", they should recieve a cash award between $1,000 and $5,000. This contestant should have won $10,000 for getting five 9's.
I still miss Rod announcing, as well as Johnny Olson. I miss when the show had more time to play longer running games, and I miss the "Stay tuned for more pricing games, and the fabulous showcases which are coming up on the 2nd half of The Price is Right" outro.
Why was the Poker Game retired on the Price is Right? They should've showed the price of the other two prizes as well so, we know what the house had. I never seen a contestant have a "Five of a Kind" on the Price is Right.
More than one reason. One reason is that there are not too many prizes that are only three digits in TPIR nowadays. Another reason is because of the tackiness of the game (board) itself.
I honestly like the game just the way it is and wish it could have kept on going with the popularity of poker these days.
Roger retired Joker at the same time as POker Game, between the Barker retirement and the Carey hiring.

Had she passed it, I would've came through and bopped her on the head.

But there's absolutely no way anybody can pass a perfect hand.

The reason he abrupted the game, is because the rules are the same as a tie in Hit Me (also retired)
nextbarker 3 years ago
What? A tie won in Hit Me, and a tie in this game would be incredibly unlikely. What are you talking about?
bduddy55555 3 years ago
@bduddy55555 If that's the case, I'm guessing if both the contestant and the house have the same exact hand, the contestant wins the game.
