It sounds like 2 guitar players because Willy has 2 stomp switches on stage and he is very proficient in catching a digital sample and playing a second (solo) part while fluidly looping back something he just played live a moment earlier. You can't see this in the video, bimini9, but I'm sure INTHEJOURNEY knows. I have nothing but respect. He is a master! I don't consider it "cheating" like the dudes you often see playing in bars along with their canned tracks, or lip synching you see on TV.

Willy uses a Jam Man digital sampler, or looper as it is known. It definitely takes practive to get it right, the timing of coming in and out of the solo, and you are correct, Willy is a master of pulling it off flawlessly. Also one of the nicest guys I have ever met...

I just got turned on to this song when watching "Dog the Bounty Hunter" (yes, I admit I watch it...a guilty pleasure). I absolutely love this song and just ordered the cd off the Internet.

this is a solo version done way before the alum available light even came out...the studio version is much more intense. To get a real taste of Willy live buy "High Wire Live" you won't be disappointed!

Interesting you should say that. I've met the guy at least 10 times and he is one of the nicest, most genuine performers I've ever met.

I'm actually glad you said that, because now that I think back I have talked to him on other occasions and he was very kind. The last time I saw him was a very big show at the Pabst theater. There was a lot of people there and he was spread kind of thin. In hindsight I'm probably the one being a dick. And yes I was having a bad night last night. And in case I wasn't clear he is and amazing artist. One last thing, to anyone who actually made it this far reading my ramblings congratulations !!!

the funny thing is that willy is my neighbor, and i met his kid while he was making a little fort in willy's car...the child felt instantly compelled to get out and hit me in the balls.
