  • the nes version had better sound, SMS had better graphics

  • 1.29 when i was a kid i used to yhink that poster in the back was philip scholfield. yeah i was thick

  • running too fast is that

  • That fella has quick feet!

  • this version looks so nice!

    I think I'll download also!

  • I love this game. I used to beg my older brother to play two player with me when I was younger.

  • I loved this game it was 2nd only to R-Type and a nother good example of a better port than the NES!

    Nice video!

  • @lawnboyspost1975

Honestly I like the music on NES version though

  • love it i played this for hours and MASTERED it on this system

  • i jus got a master system 2 at a car boot sale with this game, it seems good but i cant play it coz the god damn controls dont work!

  • @somerandomguy1997 Just use genesis controllers if you have them. It will work fine, but obviously one button (either A or C, can't remember) will be disabled.

  • RICK ASTLEY 1:30 LOL

  • i actually liked a lot of my master system games better then the nes. the nes did have a bigger library though.

  • i love the music so much

  • i love the music so much

  • i had this game its better than the nes version but the sprites flicker alot

    still a great game

  • A classic!

It's so different from the original or the NES version it's impossible to compare the games.

  • I love sega games, but I have always noticed that NES seemed to have stronger music. Sega kicked their ass in graphics, but could not quite match the music in a lot of games.

still, a classic, and I would play this any day.

  • Pause @ 1:23

Who's the guy in those two poster? Is he one of this game's programmers, or is he's made up?

  • @dafranx I think that rick astley

  • @djpain

    Lol, same here.

  • Anyone who hates this version need to hand in their gamers license

  • This was and still is the best version for the SMS home console! Fond memories!

  • this was the first version of double dragon i played when i was young. man when guys would come out of the wall it used to scare me lol

  • It was the best 8-bit version of Double Dragon

  • totally agree. the sms had better colour capabilities for sure. its a shame more developers didnt want to make game for it.

  • totally agree²

    a real classic

  • alright! A video that wasn't done with cheating or 'tool assistance'.

  • This game rocked back then and still rocks back now

i was 7 years old when i first played this im 29 now

  • I ACTUALLY think the gameplay in the gameboy version is BETTER than this. I've never played this one myself, but judging from what I've seen here, there seems to be a massive issue with using punch & kick/standard attacks. It appears that the flying kick is the only safe and viable way to attack with out getting unfairly destroyed! Looks good graphically but looks like it plays like a bitch! The ULTIMATE double dragon I'd say, is DD2 on the NES. I it's think worth owning the NES for myself.

  • Yeah, this version was terrible. The only good Double Dragon ports were the NES and Game Boy versions. The Genesis version was very close to the arcade, but the controls weren't so hot.

  • I like the SMS version ha ha. Its one of those games you have to get used y'know. I did hate it at first though. Classic to me now though.

  • this was the main version me and my bro used to play back in the day, music allways inspired me to fight bit harder hehe...that poster looks like this game has been cracked and rick rolled lol

  • hey did someone crack this version i seriously doubt that ugly guy on the poster was in the original game

  • Wow you are rude.

The guy is on the master system version

i own it. I think the game boy version is as good as this

  • Who IS that picture of that man?

Great game. Very similar to the equally as good gameboy version.

  • and you mama is as good as gamegirl version man how can you compare this awesome game to the gameboy version?
