As usual, Rothbard is long on detail, short on key issues.
Here, the key issue is the national sovereignty of the states, which placed their right of secession beyond question-- i.e. if they were sovereign, then there was no question regarding their right to secede.
This is the lone issue which has been suppressed in history from academic consideration, and Rothbard ignores it right on cue.
This is key, since these details are as inevitable under absolute power, as water in the Marianas Trench.
i am a mexican, and i am sorry but i don't understand the word of weros, or wuerdos subsidy, what dies weros or wuerdos mean? i don't know how to write that word eigther
@chazarilla2 the word weirdo is from weird, the translation is a mix between un loco o una persona o algo muy extraño o muy raro, casi es algo sin precedencia o tradiccion. espero que lo comprendas
Is this on mises media? Wanted to listen today at work but they block all media and iPhone doesn't want to stream for 2 hours strait. Thanks. (searched but could not find)
Sorry about the flippant remark. This economic view of the history is essential to understanding today. Our ancestors mostly came over as landless peasants. Here was an opportunity to become more, of course at the expense of the land occupiers who didn't even have this concept in their culture. So here we are, relatively free compared to the rest of the world. Now the banksters want it all back, the land, the labor, the real wealth, all. Slapping us down is the highest priority for them.
I would love to see what Murray Rothbard would do with Jay Leno's car collection. Imagine that goofy old economist with his bow tie and such, cruising down the freeway in a Lamborghini Countach, muttering to himself about how much better the road would be if it were private. Oh, that would be great.
